I purchased the Spore bundle through GoG during the sale and tried to access my old account, but it won't connect to the online portion of the game. Oddly, my mother, who has owned it for years, is still able to get online. She says she is using Origin and that it let her access the game using her old account when she repurchased the game through their client. We live very far apart and she misses being able to share content with me, but I'm not sure how to make my version work with the Origin client to get online. Is there a way of connecting the GoG version of the game to the online portion of the Origin system using either my old account or a new one?

Thank you for any advice you can give me. I tried searching but for some reason the search function in the GoG client isn't working at all right now.

This link did allow me to reactivate my old EA acount. Unforunately, the rest of the information doesn't seem to be relevant. It says that you need to go the the "other" section to find product codes, but the only thing present in that section is the language option, and not the product codes it needs, so I still can't connet the game to an EA account.

Do you happen to know where I can find this information? By the way, thank you for the link.

The product codes you are looking for should be accessible via your GOG account. Go to your library (via a browser and not via the Galaxy client), click Spore and then you should see a button called "More". Click it and it should bring up a drop-down menu. Select "Serials" and you should see the product codes you are looking for.

Thank you. That did it. I was able to get it working and share creations back and forth with my mother. Which just made her day. She was on the phone giving me backstories for her creations and telling me about the worlds they inhabit and what futures she intended for them. She is getting up there in age and it is nice to hear her get excited, especially about a video game (she doesn't play many of them). Have a nice evening/day, I appreciate the help. Take care!

Thank you so very much Grargar for the information on serial numbers. Now registered my GOG Spore with EA and now able to get the online content. Brilliant. All the very best.
