It's always good to see Civilization IV on sale, one of my favorite games on GOG.

Too bad there's no Civilization V and/or Civilization VI release to accompany the sale?

Telika:
Just wanted to confirm what action_fan said: Mafia 3 was never affected when it comes to music replacement.
Best way to restore content in Mafia 1 and 2 would be to simply ask someone who still owns the uncut version of your language (just in case they replaced radio announcements as well - which I am not sure tbh).

mechmouse: Its the same with every big publisher sale, if they don't come with new releases, they're less "Look what you can get cheap" and far more "Look nothing new for you... again!"

Telika: Again, it depends on who you're talking to. People who already bought half of gog's library since 2013 may not be the main targets of these sales.
GoG doesn't have the social media reach to be using these Publisher sales to bring in new customers. Specially when we're seeing the same discount for the 10th time and often with games that have already had deep discounts on Steam.

The Seasonal Sales are the ones that tend to get listed in the media and bring in fresh users.

Sure some new customers or people holding out for a real big discount might grab some games, but generally they more of a reminder of how unimportant we are as a consumer group.

SpecShadow: Got both Freedom Force, I remember skipping that game back then for some reason. Turns out it's pretty good. Maybe sequel ain't that bad either?
The 2nd game is pretty much an improved version of the first one. Especially in the controls, mechanics and map design department.

Glad to see 2K has been active recently. I think Mafia 2 original should still be available as a separate purchase like on Steam though.

If the reason some games are missing is because 2K won't spend resources to port to Galaxy, my personal feeling is bring the single-player content here anyway at least, don't worry about porting like the multiplayer. Of course I'm coming from the perspective of not caring about multiplayer.

Would Borderlands GOTY Enhanced and Borderlands 2 GOTY be worth having here even if they had no co-op? Apparently both Borderlands 2 and Civ 5 have LAN.

If multiplayer is very important but 2K won't do it, then I guess the question is should GOG "save up" to pay for the Galaxy porting themselves? Is that financially worthwhile? Or ultimately, what will it take to get those games here? (assuming DRM-free or legal issues aren't the problem)

*(I say the above while also believing GOG should (if need be) fix, and release the original boxed Dawn of War that has LAN, since multiplayer seems so important to that game.)*

Ideas for missing titles: Duke Nukem Forever (I'd like to own DNF, don't care about it's multiplayer of course; and would want a discount), The Darkness 2, Civ 5 and less-beloved Sid Meier games, PB WinterBottom, Shattered Union (though might have to make fixes for it), Railroad Tycoon 1,

And of course Take 2 has various old titles.

Is 2K shoving their launcher onto their games on GOG? Are 2k games on GOG still DRM free?

I haven't heard any news about it, checked BioShock Remastered, there are no launcher. But who knows what might come into their heads...

Pretty much, it has one downside though. Campaign feels rushed and is significantly shorter than first FF which makes fully utilizing most heroes in single playthrough impossible.
