htown1980: I was just wondering how people feel about this infowars thread that rtcvb32 continues to post in.
According to my google search spam is:
irrelevant or unsolicited messages sent over the Internet, typically to large numbers of users, for the purposes of advertising, phishing, spreading malware, etc.
It seems to me that nobody, other than rtcvb32, really cares about that thread. rtcvb32 is just about the only person who posts anything on topic.
The thread seems to be intended to be some kind of advertisement for infowars, it seems to be irrelevant and unsolicited, is it not spam?
The effect of having that thread ongoing is that there is one less topic in the first page when I check the old "General Discussion" topic. Its not a big deal but it seems like there is no reason for rtcvb32 to just continually post about his irrelevant pet topic on a games website when literally nobody else seems to care on contribute.
I consider it spam and have reported it as such on several occasions.
I have now decided that I will not consider it as such any longer and simply ignore rtcvb32 from now on (completely) and here's why:
rtcvb32 peers' have repeatedly told him in detail why what he is doing is less than constructive.
He is unable to accept this. I seriously doubt for example that he is providing such spam links to the service that GOG provides on the infowars forum. That will be because his peers there will equally say what everyone is saying here: It is completely irrelevant to the forum being posted on and has no relevant meaning therein.
I believe that rtcvb32 will continue to post his links here and I will continue to ignore them. I hope others will too. Note that even the existence of this thread has some how entitled him to spout even more of his dubious claims.
Personally speaking I believe that rtcvb32 has serious mental health issues which he is trying to vent here. The community has tried to tell him that he has passed all etiquette to no avail. I should point out that there is absolutely nothing to be gained in trying to convince someone with these kinds of issues until they recognise their own behaviour.
I say let him continue and hope he either gets bored of it, breaks spam rules or seeks professional help.
