fr33kSh0w2012: Here are the symptoms of Traumatic Brain injuries

Possible effects of TBI

The effects of a Traumatic Brain Injury and the degree of recovery that can be expected will depend on the location and severity of the injury, as well as how successful the rehabilitation process is. Common cognitive effects can include:

Memory problems
Fatigue and slowed responses
Poor concentration and attention
Irritability, anger and susceptibility to stress
Inappropriate behaviour and poor social skills
Self-centredness, dependency and lack of insight
Poor problem-solving, initiative and motivation
Depression and lack of emotional control
Impulsivity.

Common physical effects can include:

Loss of taste, Hearing and smell
Dizziness and balance problems
Epilepsy and seizures
Fatigue
Headaches and chronic pain
Visual problems
Paralysis or movement disorders.

“One of the problems for people with injuries to the frontal lobes is they frequently do or say things before they've thought them out. It’s sort of like somebody who’s had three, four beers. An injury there can cause you to lose that filter,” Masel said.
Try wiping your bum with gympie gympie leaves and those problems will cease to exist.

Respond back with kindness and turn the other cheek. Or ignore.

It's not cool to pick on someone who is clearly disabled. You wouldn't mock someone who couldn't walk. Same with brain injuries. We treat them with loving kindness while they struggle.

That was pretty funny. Reminds me of John Callahan.

Here's some of his cartoons:

He cracks me up . He was once told that he was offensive and if he knew what it was like to be in a wheelchair, he wouldn't think it was funny. The (I think) journalist who said it had no idea that John Callahan was a quadriplegic and he did all of his art and working with his mouth.
