paladin181: I mean, they have to realize that no one will click on the links in their threads, or that anyone will legitimately want to buy their shady supplies? It doesn't seem to make sense. Any ideas?

People spam shady links and all the rest of the obvious scams because contrary to popular belief, the population of the world is getting dumber at an exponential rate.

You could solve the problem by adding a secret virus to all internet scams that automatically downloads a sterilization virus to the body of any person that falls for the scam. Do this and eventually the world will recover from idiocy.

Chances are these people are using bots to spam their links and they only need a few suckers to click their link to get a payoff out of this. They don't expect many people to click on their link, but the more they spam the more likely they are to find that one sucker to click on their link.

Security is the last thing on the brat's mind, they may only register the words "game" and "play" than click the link. They may click on it for the hell of it. The next thing you know your computer has joined a botnet and the spammer has received their payout. Plus they get confirmation that the email is live and will send even more spam.

Since when is an unsupervised child on the computer ever not a recipe for trouble?? hahahahaha

Hmmm... actually i can think of a situation.... its no trouble for a child to be on the computer unsupervised where it is an old computer that doesn't matter much if they break it and you have no internet! *and you have no internet* problems solved!
