Oooooh, USED CARS is a great vehicle movie too!

and then you have BUNCHES of train movies that are excellent:

Runaway Train
Silver Streak
Murder on the Orient Express
Breakheart Pass

I also just watched AIRPORT, that was quite good too!
I'm in for Full Throttle Remastered!

Others have already mentioned Planes, Trains and Automobiles, which is a classic John Candy film. "You're going the wrong way...." Such a great movie!

The one I'll add to the mix is the Blues Brothers. While it's not exactly your classic vehicle movie, the car chase scene at the end of the movie is purely epic. And, really, how can any movie with a car called the Bluesmobile not qualify?

From Wiki:
The film used thirteen different cars bought at auction from the California Highway Patrol to depict the retired 1974 Mount Prospect, Illinois Dodge Monaco patrol car. The vehicles were outfitted by the studio to do particular driving chores; some were customized for speed and others for jumps, depending on the scene. For the large car chases, filmmakers purchased 60 police cars at $400 each, and most were destroyed at the completion of the filming. More than 40 stunt drivers were hired, and the crew kept a 24-hour body shop to repair cars.

For the scene when the Blues Brothers finally arrive at the Richard J. Daley Center, a mechanic took several months to rig the car to fall apart. At the time of the film's release, it held the world record for the most cars destroyed in one film until it was surpassed by its own sequel.
Honourable Mention: Ghost Busters was easily one of my favourite movies as a kid, and the Ecto 1 was an awesome, awesome vehicle from a movie. I promise that sometime in the near future, I will definitely own the Ecto 1 LEGO kit.
The last time I was sleazy

I took an arrow to the knee

har har har har

lame joke aside. The best vehicle movie I have ever come across is

Gone in 60 Seconds.

starring Nicholas Cage.

And an oldy but goldy starring Charlie Sheen-

The Wraith

The most vicious, evil, bad-ass car ever in the history of Hollywood movies was in this movie. Cars like Knight Rider got nothing on the Wraith.

Not in.

It's 93 exhilarating minutes of John Candy and Steve Martin messing around:

David Cronenberg's brilliant Crash is one of my all-time favourites.

A quick selection of other amazing films featuring lots of memorable car scenes:
Lost Highway
Wild at Heart
The Big Lebowski
Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas
Terminator 2: Judgment Day

And let's not forget the classic Burt Reynolds series:
The Cannonball Run
&
Smokey and the Bandit

I'm not in, by the way, although those are some seriously tempting prizes. :)

drealmer7: I'll be in for Grim Fandango. Full Throttle is one of my favorite games but I only want to play the original, not the remaster, so I'ma not be in for that and just wait for it to be on sale to get it.
They'll likely let you swap from the remastered version to the original in-game.

Also, if it's allowed, I'd like to change my entry to be in for skeletonbow instead. I ended up winning the game from the Paul The Tall raffle.

I'm aware, but I'm not buying a remaster at that price to play a 20 year old game that should be 6 bucks.
