Sarafan: The biggest fans of the series will never have enough of these games. That's for sure. I'm perfectly familiar with the soundtrack of Oblivion. It's wonderful, especially the linked Wings of Kynareth and Glory of Cyrodiil: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c2EbsfqhI2k.
Let's not forget Peace Of Akatosh, listened at sunset, around an Ayleid ruin :P.

Sarafan: Too bad that we probably won't hear Jeremy Soule in TES VI because of the accusations directed against him. BTW does anyone know how the situation developed? The industry media don't cover this case anymore. Is he found guilty or not?
No idea. I don't really follow controversies these days, but last I heard he was not even legally charged with anything. The gaming industry on the whole has seen better days though, that much is certain. Reports of toxic work cultures are the norm these days, sadly.
Any news on these projects?

Well, that's an ambitious target if I ever heard one. That being said I am rather hyped to see this finalized, though I'm sure lots of bug fixing will ensue even after release.

The Path To Release (Skyblivion Roadmap 2025)

"Since 2016 we’ve been chipping away at a seemingly impossible feat: Remake Oblivion in Skyrim’s engine. Today, we’re less than a year away from achieving that goal.

Watch along with us as we take you behind the scenes to share the exact progress we’ve made on Skyblivion and what we have left to finalize before our 2025 release. With the Elder Scrolls communities support we’ll be able to finish the final steps in completing our dream of remaking Oblivion for a new generation to enjoy.

Together, we’ll once again close shut the jaws of Oblivion in 2025."
So Skyrim turns 14 this year, add to that development time and we have what...a 20 year old engine? :)
Sarcastic "Yay" ;)
I can't wait till it's finished as it will give me a very good reason to try out "Oblivion" for the first time. Wasn't exactly a fan of the graphics back in the day so I don't mind it being ported/remade in Skyrims engine.

I don't know what's worse; the fact that Bethesda is still stuck with a Swiss cheese of an engine, or that they TOO are considering going over to Unreal (according to rumors). Makes me think the whole Unity fiasco was highly planned to let UE take a bigger portion of the cake.

It will undoubtedly turn into a monopoly situation like Microsoft have been enjoyed, and when you're on the top you basically start being sloppy and stop being creative. Fact is, neither UE nor Windows can be considered much optimized...
Erstwhile, Tamriel Rebuilt continues to expand Morrowind, and it's sister project PT aim to put Skyrim, Cyrodill, and High Rock into the Morrowind Engine.
