I like that Galaxy automatically updates my games, but I don't like that it puts new shortcut icons on the desktop when it does. I don't keep game shortcuts on my desktop. Any way I can change the folder where the new shortcuts are placed? Or just stop it from doing that?

In the window that pops up before installation, make sure that the option to create a shortcut is unticked (see attached image).

You can also find a shortcut for each game in its respective installation folder.

So I should uninstall and reinstall without that option? I guess that works. Thanks Grargar :)

No need to uninstall anything; just delete/move the existing desktop shortcuts and make sure to untick the "create desktop shortcuts" option for any future installation.

Something that I forgot to metion is that, aside their installation folder, shortcuts can also be located in the Start Menu.

Moving the existing shortcut doesn't work; that's the point. I moved the shortcut to my Games folder, but every time there's an update, a new shortcut appears on my desktop.

I see. I'd still recommend that you install a new game first (without having the "desktop shortcut" option selected) before uninstalling anything, as I remember this being a universal setting.

Interesting, hopefully that will fix it universally then. Thanks again Grargar :D
