I'm more of a Doorway Sniffer guy myself.

Santa's elves are nice and all but if you're being attacked by Random Stock Monsters™, you're going to wish that your immediate elf neighbors are the usually human-friendly Fantasy elves. The only thing that Santa's elves will do is watch your town get raised to the ground then stick all those monsters on Santa's naughty list.

Santa might be able to handle himself, but I'm still not so sure about all the elves working for him.

Santa's elves are much tougher. They're svartalves and kick ass. They just put on a human-friendly glamor, along with their master, to appear innocuous. But when the Wild Hunt comes and they rampage through the realms....

I agree that Santa's elves would be more hardy, with all the extreme conditions they are subject to XD
