Between a red rock and a destructible place.

UPDATE: You can now add the game's 32-track Soundtrack to your collection, also with a 50% discount. Drop the beat like a hammer!

Red Faction Guerilla: Re-Mars-tered is now available DRM-free on GOG.com, 50% off until July 10, 5pm UTC.

The ultimate Mars demolition simulator returns, now with its exploding bits fully remastered to look better than ever. Carve your own red path on the open-world surface of the Red Planet as a flamboyant member of the Red Faction. Employ guerilla tactics against everything on sight, level fully destructible settlements with aplomb, and exploit the game's temperamental physics as you reduce the Earth Defense Force to cinders.

timppu: 50% launch discount made me insta-buy this title.

This is like putting money in the bank! The more you buy, the more you save!

Actually it is exactly like putting money in the bank! To someone else's account! Hell yeah!
I like to tell my wife... "It's like money in the bank! OUR money, in THEIR bank!"
Saints Row on Mars! That's what it felt like to me anyway, and that's a good thing.

It also now becomes obvious why the original Xbox 360 game hasn't been added to back compatibility on Xbox One, when the other Red Faction and Saints Row titles have. The "old remaster on the way" trick again.

Wow! Nice to finally see Red Faction 3 on GOG!

How does the new engine compare to the original?

LOL I know this process. I justify it with the little "You Save: XXX" at the end of the bill, but in the end I'm just spending money. FFS I haven't even played a quarter of my couple thousand games between GoG, Steam, PC discs, and console games.

ThomNG: Wohooo finally :) enjoy Guerrilla as the brand new Re-Mars-tered Edition here on GOG :)

Stay tuned!
YES! Insta-bought as I have the inferior original steam-only version, time to add/uninstall that to my de-steamed/gogged pile!

GOG>steam... My pipe dream is for CDPR to buy steam as that bloated walrus; newell would easily sell it for the right price no doubt!

You must REALLY REALLY like your games if they're doing that to you ;)

Nice release and wordplay! ^_^

toxicTom: And bought... although I had sworn to refrain buying new stuff until I depleted at some of my backlog :-/
avatar
pbaggers: This is very nice. Shame I don't quite have the free time for open-world sandbox games anymore.

Oh well.

toxicTom: It's about owning them, not playing... ;-)
I'm starting to accept this is my life now. I bought over 300 games in just a few months. It would take me years to play them all. I'm still buying them much too fast to keep up. I'm loving every minute of it! I think of it as ownership, and I think that's reason why I'm willing to spend a lot of money on GOG, but not for game rental "subscription" on Steam.

I have over 630 gog titles, 300 steam versions (-70 de-steamed) and over 1000 emulated console/boxed titles... I am a game hoarder myself!

Anime-BlackWolf: But is it possible to bring the old version too, as a bonus maybe? It has way lower system requirements. Thanks a lot!
avatar
Aramandur: My thoughts exactly, that was the first thing I checked.
avatar
ThomNG: That won't happen as the old version was not made for GOG and non-Steam version, I fear.
avatar
Anime-BlackWolf: I have the old DVD version.

There already are cracks around that kill the online-registration, just the save feature must be adressed, the game itself CAN run even today. Okay, graphics are not so beautiful, but the game itself would be faster on slower machines.

Loger13: I love THQ Nordic!

Loger13: What a pity. I also hoped for the original version as a bonus. But I do not understand what the technical problem is. After all, even pirates made an unstable version. I'm sure that THQ Nordic can do it all the more.
In any case, thanks - I already know what I will buy on Saturday. It is necessary to replenish my collection (RF+RF2 and now Guerilla on the way).
avatar
Lucian_Galca: God damn finally. Now to hope the remastered version runs on my Nvidia GTX 670 given Nordic wouldn't release the non-remastered version on gog. -_-
avatar
vadalma2018: So is this game stable now? And no Windows Live? Finally.

Would it work on a Geforce GT1030? Because the system req. are much higher than that of the old version. Yeah, I know, the old version is almost a decade old.
I need more games that work on old low-spec PC's for my GOGmix list:

https://www.gog.com/mix/games_that_work_on_old_low_spec_pcs
Is there a screenshot of the graphics options for the game? I checked on PCGamingWiki but it doesn't have that much info.

Hahaha, nice catch! XD
Well, hot damn. Instabuy.

Maybe I'm insane, or one of "those fans" but is there a chance to see Armageddon too? Along with Guerrilla its one of my favorite games of the entire franchise (or all time). Each has its own draw for me... I personally loved Armageddon, the gameplay, pacing and story were solid.

PS: Me and my buddies are already planning a LAN party around Guerrilla Re-MARS-tered... thank you so much for making this possible on GOG!

PSS: Attaching my favorite Screenshots from Armageddon to help ^_^
