Disappearances can be deceiving.

UPDATE: Want to keep listening to the eerie soundtrack of Kona even after the cold winds have died down? Then go ahead and grab it - it's now available for purchase separately.

Kona, a survival/exploration adventure of supernatural thrills and natural chills, is available now, DRM-free on GOG.com!

Private detective Carl Faubert was just looking to make an easy (Canadian) buck. But soon after he arrives in Northern Quebec to investigate the alleged wrongdoings of the local community against the cruel industrialist who desecrated their land, things take a sinister turn. And then another one. And another.

NOTE: Kona is the first of four games that will be taking place in the same setting.

Spectre: The graphics and setting look nice but what is the gameplay like and can you drive the car or is that just in the cut scene?
It's a fairly slow-paced mystery adventure game. I'm only a few hours in, but as far as I can tell there is no strong focus on combat or action sequences. Most of the time you explore the wilderness and the deserted homes of the locals, looking for clues, solving small puzzles, and trying to survive. And yes, you can control the car yourself -- it's a relatively important part of the gameplay.
If none of the NPC says "Tabarnak" at least once, they are not in quebec.

I'm not really happy. When the game was released (and I bought it back then) "In Development" the soundtrack was listed as an extra. Later the description was changed to "Soundtrack sample" and now I'm supposed to pay for the OST again.

Seems a little bit shady to me.

The soundtrack back then contained only two songs and were given as an "extra" to support the game in development.

That being said, the other part of the story is quite complicated. We share profits of the game with the band, but only had an agreement with their music label for the music produced for the game itself and played on Youtube. When it comes to distribute an "album", they (the label, not the band) asked for chunks of the profits.

We had no choice but to seperate and price both packages individually. Otherwise we would need to substancially raise the price of the game to pay royalties to a company that didn't even work on anything on the game.

There is indeed something shady behind this, but unfortunately there is nothing we can do about it without wasting time and money on legal actions.

It's ok, I know that stuff like that can be complicated. Would have been better though to mark the extra as "soundtrack sample" right from the start. Not sure if that was your fault or GOG's though.

Anyway, thank you for coming out and answering to my comment. Have to say that the soundtrack is quite good (listened to it on Youtube). Might buy it in the future.
