<span class="bold">Ignition</span>, a top-down racer in which the end-game is fun, is available now for Windows, Mac, and Linux, DRM-free on GOG.com

Fun, fast, and weird... that's Ignition in a nutshell.

From buggies through school busses, an assortment of racers plows through twisty, jumpy, shortcutty (and absolutely unique) tracks! There's no regard for safety, no time to explain, certainly no time to hit the brakes ever. (Do grab a friend and make time for the split-screen mode!) It's all about the race the finish no matter the cost – which does tend to make for a jolly ol' time.

Swerve and speed through crazy tracks in crazier races with <span class="bold">Ignition</span>, DRM-free on GOG.com.

Never played it back in the day. I don't mind the dated graphics, but it seems a little dizziness-inducing...

Also, did I spot some rubberband AI in that gameplay video posted by catpower? :P

Maybe you should contact GOG to provide them a copy so that they can add into the catalog the german versions too.

JUST THANK YOU GOG! I can't believe it finally came here, you made my dream come true! :-D I've spent countless hours with Ignition, now I'm going to spend even more :-)

You bet I AM :-D Last time I was THAT happy was back in 2011, when LBA 1&2 came to GOG. I have such a huge grin on my face right now that my cheeks hurt :D

I only recently bought a new sealed copy of this game as I lost my copy ages ago. Now you bring it here!
Did I say screw you? I meant to say thank you! This is an awesome game which deserves a place under the GOG shelter. Shelter? With drm-free, it's more like a 6 star hotel. yes six.

Not my kind of game, but seems this one is a pretty well regarded oldie so that's always neat! Seems like a few happy people in thread.

So, this game can run in software mode and 3D accelerated mode (MMX, maybe? and than some DirectX?).
The best graphics you can get is, when you use Glide (with the help of a Glide Wrapper like Nglide).

I think it uses DirectX for Windows and OpenGL for other systems.

I don't think, that this game had a DOS version, but maybe I am wrong.

Anyway, wow, great release GOG!

Good old times... I was waiting for Ignition the same way as for Gothic and LBA.

I wonder if GOG is using nGlide like OPstrator suggested. It seems to be fully supported. http://www.zeus-software.com/downloads/nglide/compatibility
