Precise, calculated, efficient.

Frozen Synapse, a tactical game of staying one step ahead - complete with a bonus copy for a friend, is available now for Windows, Mac OS X and Linux, DRM-free on GOG.com with a 60% discount.

A tactical game, as pure and fair as they come: turn-based, brutal and efficient. You'll make precise movements with every step, your every turn of the head will be deliberate - a calculated risk.

A shootout, 1.5 seconds, three casualties and an intense aftermath. Now the clock counts down from twenty for Red Commander. Red Two observes the battlefield from behind cover while Red One scouts around the left. There's no one to watch his right flank, a lethal opening, but the chaos of battle did not reveal your hand to the enemy. Hopefully.

The clock counts down from twenty for Green Commander. Most of the team now bathes in a pool of scarlet blood. It's two against one, but stranger games have been won - people do get cocky. You caught a split-second glimpse of Red just before the first shots were fired, and it's your only trail. Peek around the corner, hugging cover, careful but decisive.

Red Two barely saw the greens of his enemy's eyes, betrayed by a gamble to protect a squad mate's life. Red One is blind now without a lookout, but remains concealed and knows exactly where to look now. The clock counts down from ten in the final turn. Deep breath. Your orders, commander?

Frozen Synapse comes with two game-keys one for you, one for a friend. You'll be able to find your bonus redeemable key alongside the game on your shelf.

Enhance your Frozen Synapse experience with the Red DLC, featuring a new co-op mode for the original single-player campaign, as well as all-new missions, new units, new game modes, an amazing OST (in FLAC and MP3) and new game enhancements!

Frozen Synapse, a fair, simple but deep, and overall incredible tactical game is available now, DRM-free on GOG.com. The launch discount will last for one week, until Thursday, September 10, 12:59 PM GMT.
It's nice to see it on GOG, but the price is a little steep for a five-year-old indie game.

Edit: Is the DLC a standalone expansion? I just checked and you can buy it without owning the base game on GOG.

Wait, this wasn't here already?

This is genuinely one of the best games I've played (although, it took a while to really get into it).

It's a shame that the new version of the game (Frozen Synapse Prime) got rid of the striking art style.
Great release.

Nope. This is what you get if you go to checkout: "Please note that you are required to own Frozen Synapse on GOG.com to be able to purchase and play DLC: Frozen Synapse: Red "

I swear that this note wasn't there some minutes ago.

I guess somebody from support read your post and fixed it. Also the dlc is not buyable anymore without owning Frozen Synapse.
The soundtrack is sweet, I wish it'll be available here as later buy.

The soundtrack would be my actual main purchase argument. C'mon GOG, get it over here. :)
Uh. Guys. Uh.

Guys.

I would like to buy Frozen Synapse, may I ?

I mean, when I check out on Frozen Synapse, the "pay for your order now" button is greyed out (well, light-greened-out and nonreactive). I also see the "Please note that you are required to own Frozen Synapse on GOG.com to be able to purchase and play DLC: Frozen Synapse: Red" notification, for some reason.

When I try to buy both Frozen Synapse and Frozen Synapse Red, the button is still greyed out, and I see : "Please note that you are required to own Frozen Synapse on GOG.com to be able to purchase and play DLC: Frozen Synapse: Red" as well as "Please note that DLC: Frozen Synapse: Red is already included in Frozen Synapse". Ooookay ?

When I try Red alone, the button is greyed out, and "Please note that you are required to own Frozen Synapse on GOG.com to be able to purchase and play DLC: Frozen Synapse: Red". Rrright.

And, what if I send you money, Gog. Would you give me Frozen Synapse in exchange ?

It still doesn't appear on the game pages like it usually does.
This really shouldn't be split up by now. Meh.

zeffyr: Nope, the DLC contains music from Frozen Synapse: Red only. The original OST is not included or I'm blind.
You're not blind ;) , on steam the soundtrack of the vanilla game is a separate item , also a soundtrack edtiion exists...a bit dumb to not offer the same content as optional purchase there

Hey, haven't you all read?

It's Frozen Synapse. GOG is frozen. What did you expect?

:D
This is a great game.
I don't understand the game/DLC connection here. If I try to buy both Frozen Synapse and the Red DLC together, I get:

"Please note that DLC: Frozen Synapse: Red is already included in Frozen Synapse "

But the game description doesn't say it's included, and it makes zero sense to even sell the DLC if it is, since GOG doesn't let you buy DLCs for games you don't own here. It could be a launch offer, but that isn't mentioned in the news post. What's going on? Is it just a checkout bug?
