This is how a new age of epic fantasy RPGs was spawned.

Dragon Age: Origins - Ultimate Edition, which marked the triumphant resurgence of epic party-based RPGs, is available now, DRM-free on GOG.com, with a 60% launch discount.

Some RPG enthusiasts enjoy customizing their character and carefully picking their travelling companions based on both their personalities and combat skills. Some enjoy dark, engaging narratives with branching elements and dozens of side-quests. Others just want to hack at giant dragons and demonic hordes. Dragon Age: Origins walked the extra mile, also letting players shape their legendary Grey Warden by playing through their unique backstory. The whirlwind of wild magic, gruesome battles, complex politics, tough moral choices, and dramatic moments that ensued helped cement this epic adventure as one of the most influential ones in recent memory. And that was even before that night when Morrigan approached you with a certain offer...

Gather your party of memorable NPCs and venture against the tides of darkness in Dragon Age: Origins - Ultimate Edition, DRM-free on GOG.com.
The 60% launch discount will last until July 21, 12:59 PM UTC.

amund: Does the new patch affect any mods installed?
avatar
Pajama: Yes, it's covered in the changelog - basically if you already have the extra stuff installed it'll just overwrite them...

Edit: Been a long day - I read DLC's - sorry :)
That's ok know the feeling :) Sounds like it might only affect DLCs but wasn't sure.

Thanks :)

It seems that you're right, the new patch only installs the missing DLCs and doesn't touch any game files. I found this from a blue over in the DAO forum;

Nice that a blue confirmed it, just reinstalled my dazip mods to be safe and it works fine.

Lobuno: All the DLCs have been included now (yes, even the Collector's Items, even a Tale of Orzammar adventure from PCGAMER), GOG released a new patch today, so now GOG's version has absolutely everything DAO.
Oh, I didn't know that. Cool!

Thanks GOG for adding the missing DLC

Thiev: You can buy two bonus items from camp merchant, I'm not sure about Grimoire though. It *should* get added automatically to your inventory on load.
Awesome... seems like I'll buy the game again here :)
We have been spoilt and now need Dragon Age 2:)

Nah, we need Kingdoms of Amalur and let's hope GOG will get us all DLC like they did with DA:O. :p

How about GOG bringing both? That would be so good :)

Dragon Age 2 would be swell, quite the interesting family dynamics if a tad repetitious. I greatly enjoyed the added lore regarding the Qunari too.

Why not, but my money are on KoA.
Well, GOG will just have to get both:)

I did as well, and enjoyed it more on the second play through.
Where's Dragon Age 2? Where's Hawke? Come on don't tease us like this!
Is this version also region locked in Southeast Asia like steam is?
