Citadelum is a city builder set in legendary Ancient Rome – and it’s now out on GOG, alongside its Soundtrack!

Build your own settlement, gather resources and evolve it into a magnificent city. Explore the world, trade and lead your mighty legions in epic tactical battles. Earn the favor of the Gods or challenge them, if you dare.

Now on GOG!
Looks interesting! Note that the game + soundtrack DLC saves about $3 over getting the game+soundtrack bundle :(.

Also, I see the publisher lists a game called "Gladiators of Citadelum" in development which is a "gladiator management sim". Not my thing but maybe of interest to some. No indication that you can use the city you build "streets of sim city" style, though.
Look right up my alley
The system requirements say GTX 1050. Anyone by any chance tried it on a GTX860M?
OOooooh.... that was unexspected..!?
I'm certainly getting a pleasant Impressions Games flashback. There is a lot of meat on those bones with some careful QoL and modern refurbishments. I'm not sure what I think about the military aspects, especially how much there is and how mandatory. I strongly prefer my city builders with the focus very much on the economy and military stuff either abstract (in the sense of knowing the need to have an economy which can support X, Y, Z whatevers) or not relevant at all.

Still, this is something I need to take a closer look at during the holidays when things slow down a bit.
Does the game have a sandbox mode with map generation?

It does have sandbox modes and it lets you select or even disable events such as battle, crime, etc.
When will free update come to GOG.
Since the update on Steam seems to have arrived concurrently with the release here I would strongly expect that it is already included here without any further mention.
I suppose if I were developing an ersatz Caesar in the modern age, this is what it would look like. (Complimentary.)
The standard version looks cheap for a release. Please let me buy it GOG please please, I am a good customer!
