I'm clicking on sunshine, wooo-ooooh!

CHUCHEL is now available, DRM-free on GOG.com.
Ohh, what's that? Quick, let's click on it! Coming from the creators of Samorost and Botanicula, it's bound to unleash a pandemonium of zanny animations, wacky sound effects, and whimsical delights upon us. Just poke at everything that moves or looks like it might, while helping the perpetually aggravated Chuchel obtain one very elusive cherry. He really REALLY wants it.

By the way, do yourselves a favor and grab the Cherry Edition, which contains the game and the Soundtrack + Artbook pack. You'll thank us later.

In the press:

-Destructoid declares that CHUCHEL is a quirky, funny, brilliantly paced adventure game that had them smiling every step of the way.

-John Walker had oodles of fun chasing after that cherry, as evidenced by his glowing review over at RockPaperShotgun.

Leroux: Yeah, shouldn't the extras and alternative editions be listed on the game page?
...

gixgox: Yes of course, the different editions have their own game card - but I didn't see that. I was too hyped to meet Chuchel. LOL
No, I mean, shouldn't the gamepage of the basic game edition also show the other purchase option on the side, so that things like that don't happen to customers? E.g. if you just click on the Chuchel ad on GOG's front page, you'll be directed to the regular edition and you won't see anything about alternative options on that site.

Yes, that would be perfect.
But we are on GOG.... ;)
Yep, Amanita strikes again :)

Austrobogulator: Should I buy this now, or wait until it's one cent on Humble??
avatar
Themken: Do you want to and are you economically able to support GOG and Amanita Design?
That is the question. To me it's a yes, instabuy, but people are free to decide for themselves (especially because I wasn't really here for the so called 'Botanicula' fiasco. As far as I remember, I bought Botanicula also as soon as they came out, on Amanita's website.
Was waiting for this. I own all Amanita games and this won't be an exception :)
Is it just me or is it the same art style?

From what year is this? Is the Youtube title the actual name of the movie? I tried to find out whether localizations exist, but under that title I can only find the live action movie with the brothers Kaczyński, not the cartoon.

The series name is indeed "O dwóch takich co ukradli księżyc" ("The Two Who Stole the Moon"). It is based on Kornel Makuszyński's work, the same thing which was also the base for the movie with Kaczyński brothers.

Thx Amanita for next release on GOG.com :) I will play soon!
Wishlisted for now. I still need to play through Samorost 3.
Nice starting price.
But where is Linux support? :(

Yeah, +1. Are they still using Adobe horror for their engine, or something more sensible this time?
There's an Adobe AIR folder in the install directory and I reckon it isn't there for shits and giggles.

On the subject of similarities with other media - the eponymous fuzzball seems to share quite a few personality traits, in particular the comical hysteria and choleric tendencies with the protagonist of the 70s/80s Italian animated series La Linea (Ep01, Ep02, Ep03, Ep04, Ep05, Ep06, Ep07, Ep08, Ep09, Ep10, Ep11, Ep12, Ep13, Ep14, Ep15).
