The road to redemption.

Blade & Bones, an combat-driven action/RPG about a warrior fighting to reclaim the voice of his people from a vengeful god, is available now, DRM-free on GOG.com with a 5% launch discount.

Legends speak of Niro, the god that created the Orins and then cast them down in anger. As punishment for their defiance, he took away their voice, forcing them to communicate with others through four signs that express different emotions. Now the Orins will challenge their god once again, but for that they must gather the seven swords of legend.
Their combat skills will be put to the test again and again: timing and patience are key when alternating between light and heavy attacks or switching between the six different styles. The warriors can also perform dynamic body transformations called Kuros, or call upon the power of the relics they find in their travels. Depending on the time of day or the Kuros they can transform into, the Orins will be able to open up new areas or hidden passages across the open world, claiming secret weapons and items that will aid them in their quest.

Perfect your combat skills, claim the seven lost swords, and learn the secrets of Blade & Bones, DRM-free on GOG.com.
The 5% launch discount will last until December 14, 9:59 PM UTC.
Wishlisted until I've read some reviews.
Hmm,...never heard of this...no video...will wait for reviews.
Warning for those who dislike permadeath; I believe this game has it. Watch this video for a nice quick look at the game, and also take not of the message that pops up when he is killed the first time:

It seems to be a different approach to the mechanic.

Regardless, I'm enjoying the look of the game a lot.
Permadeath, huh? Then I'll pass.
Some sort of artsy-fartsy poor man's Dark Souls? :P

I don't know, looks mildly interesting, but I'm skeptical about the gameplay, in particular the combat system. And since there's no official trailer...
Damn you all horrible people for getting me all hyped about fate for a milisecond.
The graphics look nice, but the style seems a bit to japan-like for my tastes, and "metroidvania" implies a lot of frustrating backtracking. So no, I think I'll sit this one out.
LOL, 5% discount?
I think I'll be able to resist.

The title made me think of Blaze & Blade.

I like how varied and colourful the game-world looks.

However, I thought Dark Souls was boring, and if this is in any way similar to that I won't enjoy it.
Looks nice enough. Here's a video trailer from the PS4 version.

It's a new release; how much discount would you want it to have?

GOG.com: snip...
I know GOG is historically a retrogaming website but for brand new releases, it's expected to have at least a video trailer on the gamecard.
It doesn't feel inspiring when I get the impression they need to tell me why the game is cool rather than just be able to show it in the trailer.
Looks like combat was loosely inspired by Dark Souls. Very loosely. I dunno. The game looks like it will be a frustrating mess until they tighten up the controls a bit and give you more direction then: You just walked out of a cage. HERE YOU GO!!

His point was probably, if it's only 5% then why bother with a release discount at all? And for that matter, what's the point of Day 1 discounts to begin with? Why not simply adjust the base price to what they think their game is worth? Unless they're trying to lure people into a rushed purchase while the discount is still on... In which case, 5% off fails to achieve that.
