this is new... i just redeemed this month's prime gaming offerings for gog,

grip
bioshock 2
steamworld quest...

all 3 redeemed successfully , but im not seeing those games on my library...
usually it would be immediate...
is there some site issue?
You can always try to refresh your account - https://www.gog.com/user/refresh
If this is usual for you, and you redeem shortly after they have been made available, then you have been fortunate; or lacked bad luck. This little game happens every time new Amazon Primes monthly offerings are redeemed en masse. Please be patient.
The games are not showing up, and refresh link does not help. One hour+ after redeeming them I still cannot see them, but I could buy them for full price (not going to happen).

This issue is getting worse in the last month or so. When GoG sends an email about giveaways for example, I couldn't make it show up using redeeming from my phone. I had to go to a PC and from there it I click in the same link and it works.

Today's issue is different, Now even this (using multiple devices) doesn't work, as the redeeming process has been started, but your DB is not refreshing the dynamic game list of the user.

It seems no issues from bought games at all, I bought Sleeping Dogs yesterday and could play right away. I think this issue is too many people redeeming keys, I'm having the same issue...

GOG has a queuing system for redeemed keys. They don't "redeem" them immediately, your request is put into a queue to be processed as to not overload the server.

So yes, if it's taking a long time for the game to appear in your account, the line for redemption is quite long at the moment.

As a work around you can try using a web browser instead ... The new game should show up there which means you can use the off line install

Unfortunately, it's also not working for me
It takes some time but it appears.

so to be clear, you redeemed/ or payed successfully ,but the game isn't in your Galaxy owned games library?

step 1 - goto accounts orders and see if the item is listed there... currently orders tend to show up twice with one saying pending but don't kick that one its a mistake and you don't want to buy it again

assuming the item is in the orders page then move on

step 2 - open a web broswer with your gog account and see if the new game is listed there... this means you can download and play the off line installer

@ what point are you getting stuck? if the item isn't listed in the oders page then the redeem hasn't happened yet but if it is [even if its listed twice] then the issue is the Galaxy server

I've had this issue a few times last month (December), though nothing like that has happened this month.

GOG replied once on a thread that there could be delays in the game appearing in the Library, usually a few hours, but that was also I believe related to another issue.

BUT, I noticed that if I login to Galaxy and check my owned games, the Prime GOG redeemed games are there right away. So while I don't use Galaxy to install or play games, it's an excellent way to download offline installer files from the "Extra" section.

I think this is only happening for Prime GOG codes (and maybe certain times of the day also, can't be sure).

So, I believe the game has been redeemed but can't be seen in certain browsers (Google Chrome in my case). I even tried the refresh link for GOG and it didn't work for me.

Installing Galaxy for offline installers really isn't a bad option and it beats trying to download games 1 file at a time. Sometimes I miss a file when the game has like 15+ lol. Of course if you're on some type of metered connection, then it's probably not a good option.

P.S. I don't allow Galaxy to run in the background (or load on bootup, if that's an option, not sure), so when I log off every time after downloading the files, it's no longer in Task Manager.

My experience with Prime codes in the last two months.....enter code, game says claimed, doesn't show up in library. Enter code again...says is being redeemed by me and will appear later. After several hours, the game is not in library, I can enter same code again, and the process of claiming begins again.

My solution that has worked every time.....redeeem the code once, the game will not appear in library at all. Don't redeem it again, and wait. It should be there eventually.

The absence of direct communication by GOG employees with the community regarding this issue (as well as others, which are far more pressing than this mild annoyance) is a bit disappointing (to phrase it mildly). Perhaps, I am spoiled by the historical outwardly interactive nature of GOG workers.

Aside from the obvious reasons, it would be satisfying to gain insight into why the redemption system had been altered in such a manner (resorting to utilizing a slow, in-order/queuing mechanism)... and if this behavior is expected to be continually temporarily engaged when 'trying' circumstances arise (or, if a permanent solution is on the horizon). To switch from near-instantaneous result to this... it seems as though there may be an inherent problem (which is not so easy to resolve, without major refactoring).

GOG servers have been under great stress in the past (most of us are thoroughly acquainted with the GOG bear), but, they were almost always able to cope with a heavy flow of visiting users. Associating a valid code with an account should not be consuming a vast amount of resources. Even on a large scale, with thousands of users simultaneously redeeming codes, the process should be rather efficient.

Same for me, I redeemed from Amazon prime and I see them in my library on the website but they don't show up in my GOG Galaxy app.
I dont think theres any work around or anything on the user end that can resolve this issue.

I redeemed grip a couple hours ago and though it said it could take up to two days to show up in my library, it showed up instantly. Meanwhile the 5 games I purchases on sale 3 days ago have yet to show up in my Galaxy library, though the order history reflects everything correctly.

Ive tried logging in and out on the website and Galaxy, people really need to stop posting that refresh url, it just redirects to your Games list from your profile and has for quite some time.

This has been an ongoing issue on and off for about a year that ive noticed, but has gotten really bad since around October 2024. Im with the user above that the lack of communication is annoying. Sure downloading the offline backup works, but its just a strange problem that has yet to be resolved.
