They look like cartoons, but Night at the Inventory 2 reveals some sophisticated humor (if I remember correctly). What is a good age for these games? Specifically, the ones in the Humble Bundle.

I'm trying to decide if I should play these or if I give them to my 8-year-old son.

The answer is yes to both options. There's stuff to enjoy in Sam & Max for all ages. There's humor you'll get and your kid won't, but for him it's going to be a fun zany adventure anyway. However, you may end up having to play with him since some puzzles can be... less than straight forward, shall we say?
