While this is inevitable and I honestly dont miss Bethesda games much, I am worried about CDPR getting acquired. Lets be honest, Microsoft is likely still eyeing popular developers like RockStar and CDPR. GIven the fact that the FTC turned a blind eye to Microsoft acquiring Activision-Blizzard of all studios (7th largest public traded gaming company), its obvious that regulation and anti-monopoly practices are out the window.

Really hope CDPR stays true to being independent and making good games. While CP2077 may not be as ground-breaking as its previous entries, its still far better than anything EA or Ubi have pushed out in the past decade.

I'd give temporary exclusivity to Microsoft for Xbox in exchange for all their games on GOG. Or at least all old games.

Microsoft, or rather Phil Spencer, admitted that they are playing the long game and intend to acquire Nintendo and Valve in the future. Microsoft games on GOG are not going to happen unless it's to help get regulators off MS's back, but most regulators are obviously not interested. Microsoft will do every anti-competitive thing that they can legally get away with.
Forum rules won't allow me to say what I'm doing, but I've already taken measures to prepare for the inevitable upcoming gaming dystopia.

The Federal Trade Commission would never approve it unless humanity suddenly converts into Cyberpunk era where government role is to serve the interests of corporation only. But it would an interesting acqusition attempt to see, good luck, Microsoft.

Valve is privately owned and Nintendo would flip them the bird. I doubt Japanese regulatory committees would even dare to let Microsoft pull an inch of a company that may as well be part of their National Heritage at this point.

Kind of. I think it was an experiment of sorts for a system that could run a standalone VR headset and it happened to be pretty successful.

They already tried that with Nintendo.

Microsoft should NEVER get their claws on CDP, CDPR or GOG. They are completely DRM-Obsessed and don't care about game preservation. Even if they only bought CDPR, GOG would probably not survive on its own.
