There are free servers out there run by amateurs. There are varying degrees of corruption and pay-to-win because these people want to make money off it while having done little except copy the server software to their rented server (if you're lucky) or home PC (if you're not). The server software is in a default state so NPCs have to be placed and scripted, so often the game worlds are even more bland and empty than the official servers.

What do you mean,wrong place as there is threads here for this person to ask for a game and yet you don't point the OP in that direction.Is this place just for the regulars that can enter giveaways and the rest can take a hike?

Actually, allow me to rephrase. The official WOW offers a free starter account up to level 20. That's accessible via blizzard.com or battle.net.
