Hello,

As of last night (December 5, 2016), I now have forty games in my gog collection, since joining almost four years ago. That probably doesn't seem like much to true avid gamers out there. But because of time constraints, I'm yet get through even half of what I've purchased so far--but I'm working on it!

QUESTION: Usually, when I buy a game from gog, I download it to store on an offline drive to play later. However, periodically, I'll check back and gog will have added a blue dot to a game's thumbnail in my online cue, indicating some kind of update. That blue dot will remain until I click on the game's thumbnail to see what has changed. But then, when I click on it, the dot immediately disappears. So it only shows what has been updated since the last time I clicked (rather than checked) SO THE QUESTION IS: Is there a way to tell what has been updated since I downloaded it?--not just clicked on it. Probably not, but it would be nice. (So I can make sure I have the latest version/patches/fixes).

Otherwise, I can't remember what's been undated and what hasn't.

Merry Christmas,
Scott

Just press view downloads and then look under more for a changelog.

Thank you, Fonzer. Now for another dumb question: Where is "View Downloads" located? I don't see it anywhere or under any tab.

If using the browser, click the game, then more, then changelog. If using Galaxy, click the game, then click the version number next to the more button.
Go to account then library with your browser. Then press on a game and do what i told you before.I don't use galaxy and
you can also choose to click the little down arrow to show view downloads under your game or just click the game and look where more is written click that and select changelog. Also not all games have changelogs, mostly only those have that have been updated, really old games probably won't have changelogs.

Ah-hah! Not just "View Downloads" (that doesn't really tell me anything) - but more specially, the tab marked "Changelog" - which provides a date of the latest update and itemizes what was fixed. Brilliant! Thank you, folks! Problem solved!

JMich: If using Galaxy, click the game...
Not yet, I found it through the browser (thanks for the help!), but I haven't jumped onto galaxy yet. For now, I'm still keeping it simple. However, I do miss the old downloader. It stopped working after they switched to Galaxy. That said, Explorer seems to work just fine (if a bit slow).

I'm not sure about Galaxy yet. I don't do multiplayer and it seems kind of Steam-ish/DRM-ish, which is antithetical to the original philosophy of GOG. But I don't know, I could be wrong. I just like to download and play offline, and not be bothered. I'm a digital hermit. ;-)

Glad i could help, though you can also mark as solved by just going over the post you found most usefull in this thread with your mouse and press that.I think it's close to reply and the upper tab of a post where the time is shown.
Other users will see it and maybe find the solution to it or just know it was solved.
