Yesterday, I had viewed a partial playthrough of that game. The streamer was playing as 'the Legions of the Damned'. To an extent, that faction had reminded me of Dungeon Keeper. It is good to be evil (within reason). :)

LOL, I don't really have a problem with being evil beyond reason in video games, it's the assholes that are evil in real life that I have no love for. At all. And, unfortunately, the world is full of such evil. And even more unfortunately, they seem to "rise to the top" in our effed up system.

Oh, and I never played that sect. I never finished the one I did too, but I did enjoy the game, played it a lot, got pretty far into the campaign, but then.... I guess just stopped for whatever reason. I did play so many times though that the opening sequence (and sound especially) is permanently lodged in my brain.

Did you also play its sequel?
If so, did it provide a similar amount of enjoyment?

I only played it briefly, basically just to look at (I do own both here at GOG). It was just a very brief look just because I was curious to see the graphical differences. I thought I would finish 1 first then go to 2, but then... well, life happens. lol

ADDED: I will say though, that according to the reviews I've read, the consensus appears to be that 2 is the better.

ADDED2: Huh, for some reason I have THREE showing up in my library. There are two separate Disciple 2's. Not sure what's going on there, why I have two showing up in my library. (see screenshot)

From the store page:

Includes the original Disciples II: Dark Prophecy and all 3 expansion packs: Guardians of The Light, Servants of The Dark and Rise of The Elves.
Though, it is odd that they had split it into separate library listings.

Also, I was going to decline your offer, but, honestly, I have a severe weakness for underworld-related games (such as: Disgaea, and the aforementioned Dungeon Keeper). Thank you for the game! Tomorrow, I will begin traveling to visit with family for 6 days; so, I may need to retreat into something like this.

Awesome, hope it provides some relief from those always fun "family gatherings." If you have as many crazy Uncles (and Aunt's in my case) then I wish you luck... lol.

Enjoy. AND AGAIN THANKS TO EVERYONE FOR ANSWERING MY MUNDANE QUESTION. May be the best community on the internets. (which isn't saying a whole lot...lol)

ADDED: Just a fun fact about families. My father had 8 siblings (total number of kids 9) and my mother also had exactly 8 siblings (total number of kids 9). Which meant I had 32 aunts and uncles (all 16 "blood" aunts and uncles were married) and because each of those had children.... the last time my sister and I counted we were up to 54 first cousins lol. Family reunions were something indeed, and they had one every year I grew up, and every year they would have to rent out some large facility for the literally hundreds of people that would these reunions... and that was just my father's side.

Oh, my goodness... I could never mentally cope with such an enormous family in a single location. Most of my family members live quite far away (one, at times, has resided in Antarctica); so, I usually only visit one or two relatives at a time, and some... I avoid. How in the world were you able to survive all of that?
