why theres no dos version of this game i played dos version
I guess that Jordan Mechner is not willing to negotiate a deal with Ubisoft to publish his own game. As far as I know Ubisoft bought the publishing rights to the franchise and rights to create their own games, those are not yet expired given the plans to publish a remake for Sands of Time.

Right, so that's why GOG don't offer any DOS based games bundled with DOSBox or ScummVM.

yes
Prince of Persia was available in a collection for free for a long time in the Microsoft store.

Sadly I missed the chance to pay for a ads-free version. I still got the collection, it includes PoP 1+2 for various systems running in emulators. Plus it contained a lot of fan made modifications. I just have to accept an advertiser being displayed each time I start it :s

And if I ever have to reinstall Windows, this collection will be gone as well, just like Tiny Death Star.

The version I would like to see most was the XBox 360 Live Arcade version, that one is excellent. I recently found instructions how to transfer XBox Live games to the PC to play them in a emulator, have to try it at some point.
