Kakarot96: Mmm i need to ask:

"Thronebreaker is a single player role-playing game set in..." ok, awesome but then:

Minimum system requirements
Network: Broadband Internet connection

It's true? We need online connection to play this SP game??? I hope it's just an error on the store page, because that's DRM for a single player game...can a blue confirm this, please?
This was a mistake on the game card. I can confirm Thronebreaker will be DRM-Free with offline installers.

:)

Zoidberg: MORE gwent?

FFS, pass!
If you're not into Gwent, Thronebreaker comes with 'Story mode' which allows you to skip the battles and focus on the story.

nightcraw1er.488: Would t download it if you gave it away free, just another tie yourself into our client dodgy card game based on a very average game in the first place.
You don't need the client.

I'm fully aware of your dislike for Galaxy, but i would ask you stop ignoring information in order to post a mini-rant :)

Thronebreaker does not require galaxy and supports offline installers. Something you're very passionate about it.

Refty: Are you planning to release box edition of the game?
No, digital only.
avatar
Linko90: No, digital only.

Refty: I'm so sad :( The same situation will be on console edition of game?
Indeed it is I'm afraid.

nightcraw1er.488: Just for those steam fanboys who downvoted me, and who can't read a post I will highlight the key part of the release "
Thronebreaker comes with awesome free bonus items, including the official Thronebreaker soundtrack, the digital artbook for GWENT, plus premium kegs, titles, and avatars for GWENT: The Witcher Card Game. "

Or to translate: "Gwent, Gwent, galaxy, Gwent, online only client, Gwent, galaxy".

Mind you if your stupid enough to think witcher 3 was anything else then very average, go ahead, chick your cash at them.
Again, Thronebreak is DRM-Free and supports offline installers. If you keep up this level of posting e.g. calling those interested 'stupid' as well as ignoring information given in order to go on a rant, you will be given a cool down period.

nightcraw1er.488: There is no rant here, merely pointing out what the release thread clearly states:
"The digital art book for GWENT" = GWENT
"Plus premium kegs" = GWENT
"Avatars for GWENT" = GWENT
To my knowledge GWENT is still online only via Galaxy., so the translation is correct, although I used the word GWENT four times rather than 3. I did not say this new component was not available offline, but that we will see when it's released. This however is a thinly viewed push to get people on Gwent.
Oh you got us!

Red made a 30 hour single-player game that does not need galaxy, and supports offline installers, as a 'thinly viewed' method of 'pushing' people into Gwent, a multiplayer game.

You got us! Come back next month when Red makes a 60 hour RTS to release on steam purely to push GOG-Connect!

Come on now, you're getting more silly with each post on the topic Night.

WildHobgoblin: Alright, so, I'm a huge Witcher fan, but I've decided to give (the online, multiplayer) Gwent a pass for various reasons.
I always thought I might get into the single player version, but looking at the gameplay linked earlier in this thread, the cards and abilities seem quite unfamiliar... and you only draw four cards each round? This doesn't look like it's something I'd actually enjoy.
So, basically asking whether the story-mode can hold its own? Or is it just like pushing a "skip" button every time a card battle comes up? Since I would assume that to be the game's main mechanic, and the story being more of a thin thread to hold the card battles together...
There's a mode called 'Story Mode' which allows you to skip all the battles if you wish.

Tarhiel: I don´t like preorder bonuses, I think the whole game should be made equally available for all the players, regardless of when they bought the game.
avatar
mdoko: I also think that proprder bonuses are a bad thing. "Bonus" that I was thinking of was a discount of some kind, or a store credit. Something like "if you give us money before the game even releases, you get 5% off." Or maybe something as small as "all preorders give you 1€ in-store credit".

No matter how much I trust and respect CDPR, this is a business transaction, and there has to be some value in there for me in order to give them money before I can use the product.
To clarify, the extra goodies you receive with the pre-order WILL be available after the game's release as well.
CD PROJEKT RED does not believe in luring people in with some exclusive pre-order items. It's more about supporting the studio and excitement for what's to come :)

Moonbeam: That's good news. The graphics are nicely done.
Do you need Gwent?
There are two ways to play. The normal mode, which includes the Gwent battles.

The second is 'Story Mode' this removes the Gwent battles if you do not wish to play them.

Hope this answers your question :)
Pre-loads are now live via Galaxy :)
