My wife and son are still into PvZ2 and PvZ:GW, they play them both every day. (GW is an online multiplayer shooter, so it's a bit different than the other two PvZ games).
There are a couple of new games my son plays every day as well (both are free Android games): Minion Rush and Minion Paradise. He was also really into Scribblenauts and Turbo Dismount for a while too recently, and still plays them occasionally. His latest discovery is Minecraft, he's borrowed it from the library a couple of times (PS4 version) and now it's on his birthday list.
My son really seems to prefer Android games over desktop computer games, I think he prefers the small size and portability so that he can sit wherever he wants to play.
