I had the idea recently to combine two ways of making my GOG shelf physical. One would be nice cases with awesome printed covers for burned DVD's, and the other would be USB sticks, on which the installer could easily be updated rather than having to use a new disc (and many computers today -particularly laptops- don't come with an optical drive).

I did look around a bit and found a few options:
* this Blu-Ray case like thing which replaces the disc holder with a holder for a USB stick
* this similar one with half the height from the same US company. Both this and the previous are sold in packs of 50, making 40-50 $US a pack, which I think is a bit much to try out.
* This probably-also-half-height one sold from a Swedish store, but only in packs of 100 (slightly cheaper per case though, at about $US 60 a pack).
* And this one that comes with an 8GB USB stick but looks to be the same as the previous one and costs about $US 10 each. Also from a Swedish store. Curiously, it's a geneaology bookstore.

Now, I would like to as whether any of you have found something similar in smaller pack sizes? Of course the covers would most likely be different sizes from the DVD cases our community have already created, but it could be an interesting take on the physical media.

Interesting!

Not sure if this is the image you go for, but here's another option:

You could also use a compact cassette case with a styrofoam inlay.

Not quite, no, but thanks for the slight chuckle.

Now THAT is an interesting idea. Going back not to the naughties' DVD cases, or even the 90's CD cases, but the 70's/80's cassettes. I hadn't thought of that, I'll go see what I can find and do.

If your not bothered about space or portability, why not make a cardboard box. Would cost far less, and be simpler than plastic.
I'm still thinking about doing this.

You would have to get the box printed on though with the game's graphics. If you could find them that is.
Interesting idea for backing up your bought GOG Games.
But I think a DVD case for SD Card would be more elegant ;)

This is the only way someone would convince me to buy physical games again.

You could make a peg board. Print out nice DVD covers and paste them on the peg board. And underneath you can hang the usb drive from a lanyard.
