Just stumbled over that in the upcoming list and the bullet-points + visuals looked quite familiar:

https://www.gog.com/game/planet_nomads

I remember I faintly looked into it few months back and AFAIK the major difference is a player character with planned m/f options and customizable exo suit + optional 3rd person play. While for some thats useless fluff I like that.

Looking forward to the inevitable comparisons of these two when PN gets released.

The lack of insane hype to disappoint already gives Planet Nomad quite the advantage, at least in terms of popular opinion though probably not the sales.

That said, I have zero interest in "survival" anything, so much as I like good sci-fi game I'm actually mor likely to pick up No Man's Sky... once it's like 95% off and I have PC that can run it :P

From what I understand is that there is no going to space in planet nomads and its more of a survial game then no man's sky is. also planet nomads allow you to build vehicles out of parts. There is very little to compare here.

Depends on survival for me. Have not tried to new modes but NMS is also called survival; probably because (depending on extremes of the planet) you need to take occasional shelter or re-fill the suits shields. It adds to the flair IMO.

Full hard on have to interrupt whatever interesting stuff you where doing to drink, eat, use the bathroom, sleep every 5 minutes... thanks but no thanks. Most likely a character in such a game would accidentally die from dereliction when I needed to use the bathroom IRL :P
