Ophelium: So, if I receive a forum reply in a thread that has been deleted, does the purple dot saying I have one ever go away?

JudasIscariot: The perma-dot issue has been reported already in our bug tracker :)
Good heavens, a living blue! Why, I was sure they were but a myth!

drmike: First five posts come up for me when I dropped the url into google and clicked on the cached link.

The rest may show up in a day or so. Takes a bit for data to get from the bots to the indexers to the public facing computers. Or at least that's what I;ve discovered over the years.
I'll check it tomorrow then. I'm pretty sure it's needless snark :P

I;d link to the cached version of it but 1) the url is a mess and 2) the caching servers are location specific and may not work for folks.

Just drop the url into the search. Should come right up. There will be a drop down menu to the right and down under the link where one of the options will be Cached. Pick that.

And it is still (or again) unsolved. I have a purple dot stuck on 'Forum replies' again, no matter whether there are replies or not.

And yes, it stays even if I deactivate both Adalia's Fundamentals and Barefoot's Essentials and reload the page. So the problem is on the GOG side of the forum.
Well, if no-one else will - i'd suggest what you're seeing is the red shift, and in fact it's a Pale blue one

I don't think so. My screen isn't moving away THAT fast from me and it's also not so big as to cause a gravitational red shift!

Note following those instruction will clear all your notifications, including the ones under the bell.

Thanks. I've been bothered by the same dot lately. The instructions removed it.
