That disc has been sitting on my shelf collecting dust for the past two years because even owning the CD, which I do, the DRM and expired/valid code bullshit makes it unplayable.

I just fired it up not long ago without GFWL and it ran fine. That was the Steam version, not a hard copy, so I have zero idea if that matters.

That doesn't change the fact that it is still using GFWL.

Yeah the patch seems to fix performance, not installation issues.

Oh well, back to Saints Row.

We went through it. I just installed it and signed in with my xbox account. No hassles at all. Now getting a smooth performance, that's different. Oh no, what will we do?!? Let's go put our tinfoil hats on and sing some hippy songs around a camp fire.

If that patch, by some wild chance, removes DRM and more importantly, all the social club or whatever else random bull, i might be tempted to rebuy it or something. Day 1 it had been downright unplayable, as a retail. Only its latest (by that time) patch, together with crack (cough!) could get you the game running normally and saving, as it should.

They release a patch and don't even bother removing GFWL or Securom... pitiful.
