Yeah I know, it's not the most respectfull topic subject but(t) it's the truth!

I liked Diablo 3.
I ADORE Path of Exile.

I've been playing PoE for the last two months now. We're in the final moments on the current league AND we've been promised that today we would get a sneak peak into Path of Exile 3.0 (currently we're at 2.52 or something).

Now I'm guessing you all know Diablo style games works with Acts (I to IV in PoE's), right? And there are multiple difficulty levels that you can play (the same Act-contact) to level up. The same goes for PoE. You had to go through Normal, Cruel and Merciless difficulty by replaying Act I to IV.

What did that sneak peak had in store? Not only the new Act V but Act VI, VII, VIII, IX and Act X!! They are going to remove all the difficulty levels so that you can do one big huge goodness dripping playthrough of unique contentt to get the real meat that is endgame fun! (which I love even now!)

Oh and euhmm... The game is FREE TO PLAY! The only thing you pay for is cosmectic stuff and a bigger stash to put yer loot in.

Take that Diablo 3 with your pay to play and pay to play a new act and one lousy new class!

Yeah, I'm a PoE fanboy.

Show some love for Grinding Gear Games people, they deserve it!

Take *that* PoE & Diablo III, I'm sticking to Diablo II, thank you very much! :P

I implore you to give PoE a try. It has changed a lot, for the good!
Sorry, I want both games offline and DRM-free :P
Why would PoE even want to stick a finger in Diablo 3's ass? Seems the only result of that is a shitty smelling finger...
I always get PoE mixed up with Flare...

ding ding ding! Plenty of other ways to get the "action RPG" fix, DRM-free.

Thanks, but no thanks; I stay away from online games and I'm quite allergic to microtransactions. :)

Eh, I obviously know about alternatives by now.
That doesn't mean I cannot wish for more games to become DRM-free :P
(even if it's almost impossible for some)

Most hard drives today are big enough to hold both games - why not just play both? Pizza and icecream are both awesome and I don't see a need to choose between them.
I'm a long-term PoE player and definitely recommend it. The game has a level of depth that very few other aRPGs have, in terms of mechanics and variety of builds. Also, between the temp leagues (new one every three months, each with different mechanics and challenges) and major content expansions the devs are always working to keep the game fresh.

Which means you'll be spending money like pretty much any "F2P".

Except, according to OP, I think we're talking about the choice between mediocre super market pizza here, versus incredible pizza from your favorite Italian restaurant. With ice-cream for dessert. :P

Can't say if PoE is really that good, but based on what I've seen it seems to be the superior choice for fans of classic Diablo games.

Of course, we already have Grim Dawn, Titan Quest, Torchlight 2 and Victor Vran on GOG, along with a few others, so I think we got the ARPG or Loot'em-Up genre pretty well covered.
I'm used to paying money to get someone to stick their finger in my ass, but that's beside the point.
I remember playing it, like, three or four years ago, and I had a pretty good time with it.

I wish they would make an offline version, though. I’ve considered getting back into it, but I kind of want to see where it goes and if it will ever be totally finished. I would totally jump in—I’d even buy it if they ever decide to make it paid for a final version.
