I am wondering if anyone has played this game to know how good it is; since it looks great.

The other thing I would dearly like to know but likely never will, is if Paradox will ever make Stellaris DRM free and sell it on gog.

That would be a very good day.

Here is hoping...

I remember hearing about this quite some time ago, and then forgot about it, as it fell off my radar. Haven't played it obviously, but it looks a bit like a mix of Sword of the Stars and GalCiv, and that is a good thing. Your post has once again peaked my interest, and after checking, I see I already voted for it on GOG wishlist. Here it is for anyone else who might also like to see it come here: https://www.gog.com/wishlist/games/stellaris

We might get it on release of Stellaris 2. =P Same thing for CK 2 and EU IV.

I think you've missed the point. It's going to be a long time before any of these will be seeing sequels as Paradox seems to be loving their long-tailed games and their bazillions of DLCs.

I cast a vote for it. It does look good, and always did but never found its way onto my pc.

mistermumbles: (...) bazillions of DLCs.
Total number of Stellaris DLCs > Total number of stars in the Milky Way galaxy

Yes, it looks *that* bad.
Voted for the game here on gog.

In the meantime there is always Matrix Games Distant Worlds. I own the entire series and enjoy it.

Still would really like to see Stellaris here DRM free.
No, not at this stage. If you wish to get the Arachnoid pack, you can upgrade your edition on Steam to obtain it. The Creatures of the Void will be an exclusive reward for pre-ordering to begin with. It’s possible it will become available in some form later.
