With Desura's corpse rotting in the hot summer sun, I decided to loot it for a copy of "One Finger Death Punch". I hadn't heard of this game before and I only noticed it because it was placed next to you-know-which-game on their "Most popular"-list. The thing had some fairly enthusiastic reviews, so I decided to give it a try.

What can I say, I'm blown away! I never thought anything this minimal could be so much damn fun! The game manages to put me in a state of total euphoria every time I play it. It's easily one of the best games I ever got my hands on.

Which leads me to my question: How the hell is this not on GOG? Not a good fit? Not our core audience? Was it ever handed in for approval? Questions...

Upvote here! Bring it, GOG! I'd Day 1 instabuy the thing, regardless of whether it gets a launch discount or not.

You can find a playable demo here!

I also wondered why this isn't here a long time ago.
You'd probably have to ask the publisher/dev. More often than not, they are the ones not offering their games to/through GOG.
I wonder why you made this thread a question one. It's not like a staff member will see this and answer.

Even Total Biscuit liked it - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kN6rYygppY0. And for him to like something not being a multiplayer FPS.....
Probably censorship.

Telika: Probably censorship.
I think Phil Fish told them not to sell it.

For shits and giggles.

Also because I'm genuinely curious why this isn't available here.

My personal, completely hypothetical theory as to the completely hypothetical reasons this game was hypothetically rejected: The game is $2.99 on Desura. It's $4.99 on any other platform (including Steam). Devs wanted to charge $4.99 on GOG, GOG said no.

Personally, I'd gladly pay $4.99 for this game here. Worth every single penny!
Honestly, it's a jumped up Flash game. I wouldn't purchase it here, but if there's people willing to buy it, slap it on the ole wishlist and see what happens!
high rated
probably because if they sold it, everyone would be playing it and wouldn't buy any more games

Honestly, it is a very very good game. And I do not think it is made in Flash. Try it.

It's not like it would be any worse if it were indeed made in flash.

Im also not quite sure why if it had been made in flash would have per default been a bad game. It is a fantastic and original game, and it do not really have anything to do with engine. it is just a very good idea well executed.

But also - there are many very good flash games out there also.

That seems a bit restrictive. His last best game of the year were 'Transistor' and 'A tale of two sons' (or at least they were highly praised). I think he really is one of the person with the broadest mind when seeking enjoyment in videogames (from RTS to match-3)
Obviously it was rejected because GOG curates their store front and didn't think it was worth it and that's why they are going to lose to Steam which has become a boon to devs since they became more laxed on curation.. oh wait..

Okay snark aside(I just get tired of seeing "oh noes GOG didn't except random game that I wanted so that mean GOG should just let everything in and needed to let it out).

No one knows maybe the dev never submitted it to GOG, maybe GOG did reject it. We don't know.
