... and when I say coming to PC, I actually mean coming to Steam. Unfortunately I doubt that GOG will be able to secure the rights to sell the game on their storefront due to Square's obsession with DRM, but I thought this was interesting news nonetheless.

I guess all the people complaining about Epic exclusives will be complaining about Steam the same way..........
Interesting for a lot of people i assume but i stay away from Square Enix games unless they are on GOG, i don't really trust them to not do some fuckery with the game post launch whether it's implementing a even worse drm or something else.

I actually caved in a few years ago and decided to buy Final Fantasy VII on Steam, and instantly regretted it. That was the only time I have ever asked for a refund on a game. The DRM on that game was unreal. I hate Square-Enix for that.

Welcome to GOG; when they're not pestering and harassing developers for a GOG release, they complain about everything that DOESN'T get a GOG release.
