It seems that you're using an outdated browser. Some things may not work as they should (or don't work at all).
We suggest you upgrade newer and better browser like: Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer or Opera

tastymonkey: I do have concerns with software being installed that is not required to run the hardware or do what I wish. I also have trouble taking anything serious from someone that intentionally misspells the companies in question. That is about as childish as someone putting in a $ in Microsoft. It is just silly and takes away from ones point.

Because of algorithms.

They are among few multi-billion $ corporations that are not being regulated by our officials that we pay with our taxes.

tammerwhisk: Hasn't Nvidia had telemetry and a bunch of other garbage in their shit for awhile anyway? Bait-ish title aside this isn't major news.
I'm passing along a very important peace of information for people that are not aware of this yet!
How can you minimize and mocker my post?

:D

Sorry. I have no idea.

Do spellchecks not check where correct capitilisation takes place (Tinye)?

I did that on purpose. :P I like contradiction; learned it from Kurt Cobain. The name suggest a small 'e' so I made the 'e' the only capital letter in the name as a deliberate oxymoron.

Spectre: Is there any way to crack the shadowplay so you don't need to use an internet connection to make it work?
You need internet connected to use Shadowplay?
Sheesh!, that's as stupid as Razer mouse software needing internet connection (although heard it's changed since I uninstalled it, not sure though).

P.S. Nothing new, Nvidia has used telemetry for a looooooong time.

Not mocking, just pointing out this isn't remotely recent news. Nvidia has been doing it for quite awhile.

Klumpen0815: Misleading title.

Are the Linux drivers affected as well?
As far as I know, no. I like the fact that the Linux drivers are actually drivers not a full goddamn software suite. I hope it stays that way.

What you don't like downloading 500~MB (uncompressed it's like 1 GB) of random shit you don't even need? What's wrong with you?
In that thread, read comments and video from "Sahara". It looks like Trojaning is the favorite sports this time of year.

Well, I am very glad to use Linux-only since 2010. No malwares, no nagscreens, no telemetry, no secureboots, no drm, everything predictable. Thanks RMS and Linus!

This article was a good refresher that I did the right choice. Still hide/n/seek games in the registry, evaluation of software firewalls/ids and do malware scans on production machines... what a battleground... Oh, commodo firewall and kespedsky, ransomware and , oh the joys... I am missing so much.

That's why I chose AMD.

I hope Rx Vega will be competitive and sincerely hope again that they will only use display drivers and no hidden or forced installs, make the add-ons be optional instead.

Once trust is lost I don't even want their tech for free.
Amd:

It performs better, It's priced much better then Titan X pascal and then Titan Xp; basically the same titans alas Xp just has DVI port removed for better heat dissipation.

But there is always a "but".

All this personal data collection makes me sick to my stomach.

I think time is coming to exit my pc enthusiast endeavors.

Yes these are gaming drivers for Vega FE.

P.s. Do I need to be always online with PlayStation 4Pro to play single player games?

There is another option: use Linux with an AMD graphics card & use the open source drivers. I recommend Linux Mint :)
