I wonder what the criteria was for the Tropico one. I didn't happen to get it this time around, though I do happen to own all but Tropico 5 & 6 so maybe that was the "do not send" flag.

That discount on 6 isn't that great, but a discount is better than no discount I suppose.

Why even bother us with this via mail!? Weren't they cheaper on regular discounts already!? smh

I can't speak for the other games they've done this for, but for realMyst: Masterpiece Edition it's ~$2USD cheaper than it goes on regular sale for, but it isn't the lowest its been factoring in the Steam release (it's been under $5USD on stores selling those keys) and, purely inside of GOG I think it's really close (think within the 10-30 cents range) to the lowest site-wide sale price.

This newsletter discount would make it the lowest, but knowing it's only by a handful of cents is really not the "bait the hook" offer GOG want people to think it is.

7 bucks(or so) US is too expensive....really?

Well maybe compared to steam, who can afford to give games for pennies sometimes....but for some games that price is a steal(or decent enough).
