I am hoping our collective memories are better than mine specifically.

I am trying to remember the name of a game I played on PC ( Might be DOS or Early Windows ) between 1992 and 1994 ( the game might be a year or two older, having possibly been scooped out a discount bin. )

I think I would call it an early RPG. You had a party which moved on the world map and you would move to a battle map from there to fight groups of enemys, much in the style of early Ultima games. I Think it was low or no-magic.

The one innovative feature which jumps out of my memory is the hit location system. You'd need to specify if your characters where attacking 'low' 'Mid/Torso' or 'High'.

Anyone remember this title ? It's been bouncing around in my head for years and I'd like to put it to rest.
I keep wanting to remember it as a single word title like " Morogoth " or Ornwielh " or something along those lines.

Any help would be appreciated.

The only fights i remember were early on, fighting goblins ( short monsters ) and that my "high" attacks always went over their heads.

Thanks !

Knights of Legend?

Nah, probably too old.

This sounds terribly familiar. I can't lay my finger on it though. But from the time frame I think this game should also have been available for Amiga.

paladin181: One of the games?
That would have been my guess too. E.g. [url=http://www.mobygames.com/game/phantasie-iii-the-wrath-of-nikademus]Phantasie III: The Wrath of Nikademus. I played it on Amiga though, and it is older than what the OP asks.

EDIT: On the other hand, I am unsure if it really had the option to hit high or low to an enemy? But you could lose a limb though. :)

HOOORAY!

It was the first thing I thought of with the "aim high, medium, or low" mechanic.

Fun game, but it was brutally difficult. I remember I barely beat any missions because it was just so damn hard and you couldn't save.

I still have the original box and all my hand-drawn maps, I think.
