My recent YouTube obsession has been...

... Dynasty series videos.

I haven't played the game(s)... yet (still looking for a bigger discount!)... but I'm fascinated by gameplay loop and the eras they are depicting. Short of a medieval fantasy, they're hitting most of my favorites... American Wild West, medieval Japan, Age of Piracy, medieval Europe.

It would be nice if they did an ancient period too, like Rome, for instance.
Sadly, the hardware requirements are a bit high. Maybe in 5 years or so.

Usually I wouldn't care about Early Access, but I love the Wild West genre and... the devs seem genuinely interested in a dialogue with players.

I've played Medieval Dynasty quite a bit. I don't like the aging part at all, but that's the whole reason the game has the word dynasty in the title, and lots of people like games like that, just not me. That said, I still bought the game after having seen youtube gameplay videos, knowing that it's not a game for me, and have still been having fun playing it. It's a great game :)

Yes, I never expected to want a survival city-builder, but after playing Red Dead Redemption 2 / Red Dead Online and finding so many conspicuous elements missing (home building, farming, etc.), I'm excited about Wild West Dynasty! Give it to a small Austrian company to make a game using elements that R* should have had in their giant AAA. ;)

But are they actually any good? I'm not seeing the greatest of response, but it might just be anti-genre bias. They feel like they might be being shoveled instead of properly going deep in one like they could-should.

I'm way below GPU minimum requirements, just waiting since forever for prices to come back to at least acceptable levels, man, I didn't remeber when I purchased it... my gpu is from the prehistory.
