Does anyone know if this mod is compatible with the GOG version of morrowind and if so how to use it?

It is compatible, basically all you need to do is extract the files into Morrowind directory and then just run it, the rest is pretty much automated.

Sure is, you might also want the Rebirth mod as well. They can both be installed together, follow guidance on the page.

I did that and it doesn't work. It doesn't get past the part where it checks to see if the mod is in a morrowind folder, if you have patch 1.6 installed and if you have the expansions installed. Of these three things It fails to detect the patch and the expansions.

It sounds like you didn't put the Overhaul files in the Morrowind directory before running. These files MUST be in the same directory as Morrowind.exe before you run it.

Please forgive my poor writing skills, the post above yours was a bit confusing. The installer DOES pass the part where it checks to see if the mod is in the morrowind folder but it fails on the patch and the expansion checks.
