Retsopmi: Maybe I'm just skewed in thinking something that is 10 years old, which is a lot of what they are doing now, isn't a "good old game". Most of those take little to no effort to run on modern PCs. Games like Castles 1&2, Red Baron, Syndicate, are the games that brought people like me to this website years ago and after being introduced to GoG I had found many games from the 90's that at the time I hadn't even heard of. Like Kings of Dragon Pass. A very fun game.
In the videogame industry, at the present time, anything published more than 5 years ago seems to be considered "old" by most people. I've even heard people describe 3-year-old games as if they were ancient history. :) I love seeing the Akalabeths and Zorks appear, but I'm willing to concede that we can start considering certain games from the current century as classics.

So true, people think the 90s are ancient, I grew up in the 90s, and I don't find that era old by any means. Gamers do think games 5 years ago are too old, heck I still have my vinyl records and my record player :)

There are plenty of old games on sale. Though there are several indies too. I think it's a pretty decent sale this time around, I kinda overspent anyway, but I don't think I'll get anyway anything on steam in the upcoming sale except maybe Alien: Isolation if it's a great deal.

I almost got a hearth attack when I saw someone in Youtube comment about Crysis 2 something along the lines: "It is still a great game, despite its old age!". Oh yeah! :D

Then again, in the recent "GOG World Vision somethingsomething" discussion someone said that e.g. the recent Metro LL, Darksiders 2, Saints Row 3 etc. can¨'t be really considered AAA-titles anymore, due to their old age. AA at best.

Each has his preferences what one wishes to see the most on GOG.com. For the OP it apparently means 15-30 years old PC games mostly; for me it is games from around maybe 2003-2013 or so, mostly from big publishers, that I wish to see the most here (those aforementioned "AA-titles" are very good examples of that). DRM-free, of course (if they had DRM, I could buy them from Steam for all I care).

Retsopmi: I like indie games as much as the next person, I buy a ton of bundles through various sites, but can we get more actual Good Old Games on sale?

I mean this is GoG, why is this summer sale so fixated on indie games. Right now if you look at the highlights section on the front page, one game is an actual old game. The other 7 are relatively new. It doesn't get much better when you actually go down the page either.

I love GoG, and have bought a lot of games here. Though when I hear of a GoG sale, I think of great games of my past being on sale. Now it seems like all we see are indie games.

Anyways, thanks for the sale and I'm not trying to sound mean or rude or anything like that. Just would love to see more GoG games on sale. There are so many franchises on here that don't go on sale or so rarely are on sale. Lets see some of those. I also like to play cs go, and from time to time I look at the platform https://paris.skin.club/ in order to get cool weapon skis.
I understand your sentiment regarding the current focus on indie games during the summer sale on GoG. While indie games have gained popularity in recent years, it's understandable that you would also like to see more Good Old Games on sale, as the platform's name suggests.

Promoting a diverse range of games, including both indie titles and classic games, would indeed provide a broader selection for all gamers.

The previous poster just Necro'ed an eight year old thread.

I think it was a post written by an AI bot account, which seems to be occuring a lot on GOG lately.
