AB2012: In that respect, it's probably best to treat the list as a "What I'd like to see here" list rather than any sane / serious catalogue of what's realistically acquirable.
Well, yeah, I assume that's why it's called the Dream List and not the Odds Are Favorable List.
Another issue (possibly related to my previous?): The Dreamlist keeps asking me to provide my password to log in--despite my being already logged in (as evidenced by this very post). :/
First of all, I've grouped together the following issues from a number of posts by different users, in various threads. They're too many to mention, so a big collective "thank you" will have to suffice!
The list is long so it will probably require a couple of posts.

* Wrong game was given votes during transfer

Wolfenstein RPG has more than 17000 votes at the moment... a mobile game. There can't be any doubt that they should be attributed to Wolfenstein (2009) instead.

Quarantine: almost 2000 votes for the 2017 game. I think they were rather cast for the 1994 game.

Chameleon (1986) and Chameleon (2005): I'm doubtful more than a thousand users voted for the 8-bit title.

Vietcong: I think the votes for the 2018 title should be transferred to the 2003 one, which is far more popular.

Soldier of Fortune: more than 8000 votes for an 8-bit title from 1988. They were likely given to the 2000 FPS that's already been released on GOG.

Spider-Man: 1600 votes for the Atari 2600 game? Somehow I doubt it... I really think they were intended for the 2000
or the 2002 game. Hard to say. A great number of these votes were probably already duplicated on the old wishlist.

2000+ votes for Portal, the text-based game from 1986...
nah, more likely for another Portal.

The votes for Magic: The Gathering - Duels of the Planeswalkers from 1998 went to the 2012 edition instead.

* Duplicated games or entries

Wetrix and
Wetrix+

Magic & Mayhem: The Art of Magic
and Art Of Magic: Magic & Mayhem

Drainus and
Dranius (obvious typo - the right one is Drainus)

Borderlands 2, Borderlands 2: Game of the Year Edition and Borderlands 2: Ultimate Edition: surely one is enough?

Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell: Pandora Tomorrow and Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell: Pandora Tomorrow HD (there's also the Game Boy version)

The Neverhood has a useless duplicate with 1/100th of the votes.

Doom (2016) and its Nintendo Switch version

Red Dead Redemption and Red Dead Redemption: Game of the Year Edition

Need for Speed: Most Wanted (2012)
Need for Speed Most Wanted - Standard Edition
Need for Speed: Most Wanted - Ultimate Edition
Need for Speed Most Wanted U

3D Lemmings and Lemmings 3D

3D Pinball and 3D Pinball: Space Cadet - both part of Full Tilt! Pinball

Mass Effect: we have the whole trilogy and the single entries in all their particular incarnations (special edition, collector's edition, ultimate edition etc.)

Shadow of Memories and Shadow of Destiny

The Sims 2
The Sims 2: Super Collection
The Sims 2: Ultimate Collection
The Sims 2: Legacy Collection

Chip's Challenge
Chip's Challenge (Lynx version)
Chip's Challenge 1 (2015 re-release)

SimAnt and
Sim Ant

StarCraft 64: we already have an entry for the PC original, which is unlikely enough on its own...

StarCraft II: Wings of Liberty and StarCraft II: Wings of Liberty - Collector's Edition
StarCraft II: Legacy of the Void and StarCraft II: Legacy of the Void - Collector's Edition

Formula One Grand Prix and World Circuit: The Grand Prix Race Simulation

Formula 1 and Formula 1: Championship Edition

F1 Career Challenge and F1 Challenge '99-'02 (SEGA Saturn version)

Bygg Bilar Med Mulle Meck and Gary Gadget: Building Cars

* Invalid, Redundant, and/or romhacks

Worms v Lemmings (unfinished, never released)
Starcraft: Ghost (same as the above)
Half-Life 3 (clearly... well, hopefully intended as a joke)
RetroArch (not even a game, strictly speaking)
Microsoft Flight Simulator X: Steam Edition (no sense in releasing it other than on Steam)
Street Fighter II Uno (physical card game)
Virtua Fighter 2 vs. Tekken 2 (bootleg)
Chip's Challenge (Sega Master System/Genesis homebrew) and Chip's Challenge (SNES homebrew)
2003 AtariAge Holiday Cart
World of Warcraft, Star Citizen, Fortnite, Dark Age of Camelot, Ultima Online (these are all MMOs and as such do not belong on GOG)

Additional problems:
The Thing is labeled "Thing Thing".
The picture in One Step Beyond is less than ideal.
Pictures in Mass Effect: Polish Collector's Edition are wrong.

This could also be a good place to post suggestions to improve the Dreamlist, such as:
- more than 10 games per page
- page numbers on top on the list as well
- alphabetical sorting
- "only unreleased games" as the default option for the "Release status" filter
- an alias function for game titles

BreOl72: I honestly don't get all the buzz over this (allegedly) "new and improved" wishlist.
Mind you - that's all this really is.
The old community wishlist.
Under a new moniker.
With upgraded optics.
And (evidently) a bunch of problems - old and new.
You know this, I know this, but try not to say the part that makes marketing sad so loudly. ;p

Thaumaturge: Another issue (possibly related to my previous?): The Dreamlist keeps asking me to provide my password to log in--despite my being already logged in (as evidenced by this very post). :/
I've come to understand that Galaxy users can't make use of the Dreamlist; is that your issue?

I don't use Galaxy, so I doubt it. :/

(I'm accessing the Dreamlist via Firefox under Ubuntu Linux.)

cosevecchie: F1 Career Challenge and F1 Challenge '99-'02 (SEGA Saturn version)
about this one, F1 Career Challenge is a console only game, while F1 Challenge 99-02 is the PC only version of that game (the description is totally wrong and taken from a sega saturn game called "F1 Challenge" from 1995 )

Hmm. That one seems to be up to chance, it seems. Firefox, Fedora, Dreamlist works great. Are you using the actual .deb or the dread Snap or Flatpak?

Oooh, a 3-1 deal! People were suggesting that Mobygames was being scraped, but Mobygames isn't this incompetent.

You certainly won't find Half-Life 3 or Street Fighter Uno on MobyGames.

Double-checking, it looks like I'm using the Snap version.

That said, I haven't tried again today to use the Dreamlist--I'll likely give it a shot later and report back!
I've just found another couple of duplicate entries:

Looney Tunes: Sheep Raider and Sheep, Dog 'n' Wolf

OMFG: One Million Fatal Guns and...
OMFG: One Million Fatal Guns (!)

It happens to me as well, but only sometimes (and sometimes just when casting a vote), but I just have to reload the page to solve the issue.

Hmm, I hadn't tried that in response to the password prompt. I should try to remember that the next time that it happens!

Well, I did indeed try again to post my story--and it's still refusing to accept it. :/ (Both before and after a refresh of the page.)
