Because many times we GOGers tend to be treated as second class citizens on some games, I search for the specific differences between games as they are on Steam/Epic and how they are here on GOG before buying them, albeit Im only buying games here on GOG for more than 2 years now.

After researching about Metal Unit, I noticed that theres a Free DLC on Steam's version of this game which doesn't seem present here on GOG. (Please correct me if Im wrong.)

I can't post links because now GOG Forum terms of use won't allow me so, please, search about this for yourself.
Thank you.

The name and description of said Free DLC:

Metal Unit - Community Armory 1

"A strange anomaly has appeared inside the Steel Brigade's headquarters! Come visit this mysterious shop and buy equipment originating from alternative worlds.
This DLC adds new equipment items, based on workshop items created by members of the Metal Unit community.

Bun Gun by Hilili
Focalized Breath by srx7775
Cursed Bow by Halfsquid
Riot Shield by PunkyVoice
Frying Pan by Juwasa
Stielhandgranate by 0lympus

A new item type is introduced: Falcon Mod, which upgrades the look and abilities of your trusty pet!
The art for these items is also created by our community.

Fire Mod by PunkyVoice
Magic Mod by Halfsquid
Night Mod by srx7775

We hope that you enjoy this collaboration between the Metal Unit developers and community!"

So we GOGers won't have access to those features it seems, for now.
Why? Is this because they're a "Steam's Workshop" 'mod'?

May any moderator clarify?

Thank you very much.

Might get an answer if you reach out the the developer directly.
https://metalunitgame.com/

Their web site has a contact email, though whether you'll get an answer is anyone's guess.

Thank you very much mistycoven!
I've reach out to them and Im waiting answers on GOG version.

As soon as they answer me, if they do, I will post it here.
Thanks again.
I don't really care for the game itself, but the music from the trailer sounds good.
Do you know if the soundtrack can be obtained somewhere?

According to a post on the Steam forums, the game uses stock music which is listed in the game credits. Whether you can personally download that music or it's only intended for commercial use, I can't say.

It's a good point to start, thanks.
They did answer my message through their Discord.

The answer is from Recupel, JS Dev Team and Tester:
Hey, thanks for asking.
I can't answer those questions right now because we were not warned about this release.

We are investigating this asap and we'll come back to you once we have the answers.
I can't vouch for the GOG version as of right now since I don't know its current state.

All I can say for now is that the Steam version will receive any new update first (including the upcoming one) and that it has no DRM.

But once we have more info about the GOG version, we'll do our best to keep it in a good state.
Its good to know that Steam's version has no DRM.
In anyway, it seems they will be working from now on with GOG too, albeit the focus is Steam's version clearly and understandably.
