Sorry for asking here, but the game forum has 2 threads only.

Did anyone manage to finish the expansion levels for MechoEcho? I've spen a very long time on level 1, and after hours on level 2, I've given up.

Surprisingly there are no materials at all on the internet.

Can anyone help?

Bump.

Someone?
I haven't played the game, but I remember reading about it, and the reviews on STEAM complained that the game might seem to allow creative solutions to the puzzles, but it fact it's quite strict in what you can do. This is the very reason I don't like most puzzle games. If you can't figure it out outright, it's usually because you missed/forgotten/misunderstood something, and at that point it becomes impossible.

The base game was not really restrictive. I'd say quite the opposite. I finished all 30 levels and in 5-6 of them I'm pretty sure my solution wasn't what the author had in mind.

In fact there were a few achievements on Steam that were of the type: do level X without wheels. Or do level Y without such a component and people came up with clever solutions. I was watching some solutions for those achievements and people came up with various creative ways.

What the people complained about was that the game was too short. And that's true. 30 levels, but can be finished fairly quickly. The author listened to suggestions and released an expansion: 10 levels that are way harder. But it seems it was taken to the extreme. I'm stuck on level 2 after spending 6+ hours on it.

Surprisingly there are no guides at all regarding the expansion. I just found a video of level 1 which I finished already (and in a neater way), but nothing else.

Hmmm... then I must be misremembering and it was an entirely different puzzle game.
Final desperate bump? If not I'll just let it go.

I just realized this is the first game I'm abandoning due to difficulty since the mid 90s early internet days. Since then no matter how hard or where I was stuck I always found some guide online to help.

I don't know how MechoEcho is structured, but whenever I used to get stuck in a game, before walkthroughs were so prevalent, I used to get away from the game for a day or two, and then I'd replay some previous levels before I retried the one I was stuck on. I even remember restarting monkey island 3 entirely when I got stuck at one point, but that was more because I love the music in the game, and I hated that I couldn't progress and the music was on a loop.
