[This is a sticky post, it will be visible in every single page of this thread. It has been published in October 2020.]

Our moderation team decided not to take a side in the discussion since this giveaway thread was created by the community and, as long as there are no forum rules violated, is up to you, dear Gogers, to decide its fate. We will not set giveaway rules, edit the OP's post, nor lock the whole thread.

However, to make it easier for newcomers to understand the situation (about the OP being inactive and other), I will stick my own post right above the first one.

You are, of course, free to create new threads to start anew and make your own, clear rules. At the same time, please stay reasonable when crating them, as multiple new duplicates might make it even more confusing for many Gogers.

That being said, here you can find a post with dxenija's community poll to have better understanding of the situation: CLICK.

At the time of writing, open giveaway threads are:
- Massive Giveaways Blog (this one)
- Free (temporary) keys giveaway central topic.
- Updated Itch.io giveaways

Be nice to each other *flies away*

Sorry, I was making a reference to an old song from the 80s, "Me so horny", which includes a line of "oh, me so horny, me love you long time".
A couple of pixelated retro arcade style freebies from IndieGala

Super Destronaut

Fight against waves of invaders in this arcade space shooter and collect power-ups to increase your fire power. Try to beat your high-score in Classic, Time Attack or Hardcore mode or challenge your friend in Multiplayer mode. If you like classic arcade shooters then you will love Super Destronaut.

Earth Muncher

Play as Norm the Earthworm who is hungry for adventure and delicious treasure! Navigate our "hero" through treacherous earth and nom treasure. Hone your skills with 100 levels in Standard Mode, then test yourself in Challenge Mode. Think you can beat them all? Boasting 48 additional Levels where the Noms are slim and danger is plentiful! Can you nom your way to 100% and become the Ultimate Muncher of Earth?

There are actually over 150 games in Indiegala freebies now.
I missed some here and there so I had to open over 150 tabs in chrome to check what I missed
I won't be listing them individually here since it won't help anyone.

Brave protagonist, make sure to add 1TB sticks of RAM before you embark this precarious journey,
Stay safe my valiant hero!

drxenija: Humankind is free to play this weekend. You can add it this way.
As Catac1sym said above, this is misinformation.

Rather, if I'm interpreting what SteamDB shows, it already includes that DLC in the promotional package, but you cannot permanently claim it. Therefore, since this is included in a temporary license, to claim the DLC, you have to have the permanent license to the game.

And slightly off topic, but...

I'm pretty sure that was a scene from Full Metal Jacket. 2 Live Crew sampled that line a couple years after the movie's release.

I would note that the showcase page isn't historically complete. Not to mention that over time, the claim/download button is disabled, so this would be a worthless endeavor for the most part. I have a number of games - which are now exclusives - that don't appear on that page at all. So if you missed it, you'd never know. You have to be on top of things to know, and your best source to see what was announced is by email subscription, which you'd have to have subscribed since the beginning.

On top of that, I'd use the client to check what I have. The search function on the browser does not do its job. It's easier to navigate the library witht he client than by clicking pages upon pages manually, even though it's how you'd download manually. Don't hedge all your bets on their website at all for everything they have/had. It's only good for what they currently have.

To check what the current freebie is, just use this page instead: https://freebies.indiegala.com/

Yup, as I was going through the whole list, some indiegala download links were inaccessible despite my library had it from before.
Goes to say about everything. Personally save everything and back it up on a physical copy instead of relying on any site to do it or anyone's word online. Be your own judge and trust your verdict instead.

Except when you are Guy Pearce from Memento. In that case, don't trust yourself at all. Period.
