Hello everybody!

*Firstly, I apologise if there is a specific section on the forum for 'childhood games that we are trying to re-find', but I am new to the forum, so haven't managed to find that topic if it already exists.*

Now, this one isn't for me: my girlfriend is desperate to find this game she played back in school. Here are all the details she has:

- She played this in the mid-to-late 90s - in the UK
- Definitely a PC game (could be Apple Mac though potentially).
- Definitely a point-and-click.
- This was an educational game she thinks (could have been just a puzzle adventure though).
- The plot involved a child (or children) being thrown back in time to Aztec era by an old Doc Brown (style) character.
- The main game involved the children solving a variety of puzzles in an Aztec village to get home.
- Near the beginning of play, you are in a plane flying over the ocean, and then something happens when you fly over the Bermuda Triangle and are pulled through to another time and place.
- You end up in an Aztec village and solve puzzles to get home.

If you know this game, and are able to help; it would be greatly appreciated! New to the forum, old to the site: I love GOG!

Cheers,

Max

No worries, people create threads like this all the time and it's always a welcome addition :)

Perhaps Zak Mckracken and the alienmindbenders? It involves flying a plane to the Bermuda triangle.

Coult this be the game?

You can also try searching this group in Mobygames. You'll probably find what you're looking for there.
Jonny Quest: Curse of the Mayan Warriors is Mayan not Aztec, but the protagonist is a child and the intro features them travelling in an airplane.
Hm, at first I thought it might be something like Sierra's Eco Quest 2: Lost Secrets of the Rainforest, but I think it doesn't involve time travel. I didn't play it myself though, so I can't be sure. In any case it's an edutainment P&C adventure about a son and his scientist father solving problems in the rainforest.

Thank you all for the suggestions guys! I've linked this thread to my girlfriend and she is going to have a look at the links you sent over. Much appreciated :)
There was some coca-cola sponsorded free game that had some sort of similar environment, no time to look for it now, but I would figure ZFR sounds correct anyway.

and, yes, these threads of people looking for names of games from their past are some that I look most forward to on these forums! good stuff!
I found this thread also looking for this game... I think it is the same one. I played it when I was in year 6 in the uk so this would be 1996-1997.

We got to play the game for maybe 20 minutes if we were lucky (at school) then the next pair of kids got to have a go. Of course you went back to the start, so no one was ever able to see the ending of the thing...

One part I remember very distinctly was where you chose what to do or say from a list of options and one of the options was to

"have a good cry"

this made a "boo hoo" sound and flying tears came out of their eyes. The game made very few sounds from what I remember, so of course everyone looked up and turned around, everyone did it for shits and giggles...
Could be Inca or Inca 2. It was a 90s era Dynamix game, I believe. It had space flight shooter elements, but also included puzzle solving. I do not, unfortunately, remember if there was much point and click involved, aside from the puzzles.
Late coming to this, but i'm sure it was called The Crystal Rainforest. Involved lots of puzzles 2 lost kids and an old proffessor type character with brown hair and white coat and trousers. Hope this helps.

I came into this thread to post that too!

Well I do wonder if the reply of CowanChris is actually the solution to the mystery! :-P
I know this is an old post but ive been looking for the same game, its definately not the crystal forest (for me), ive recently purchased an old pc game which i think could be the one, its called how would you survive? I remember there were 3 different games on the school pc you could choose from and we were never allowed to play the other 2 just the aztec one so im taking a chance, if its the right game i'll update, only 2 pound on ebay
I ended up here looking for maybe the same game. Played in the mid-1990s at school on either an Acorn or a DOS PC. You clicked through action choices etc and learnt things like how the Aztecs grew maize.

I recall a one point you were waiting for someone, and had the option to "wait longer" which showed a hand tapping its fingers. That option looped - whoever it was never turned up.

The look was similar to The Crystal Rainforest that was posted here, but I feel like it was a bit lower resolution, more pixel-art style.
