Leroux: ABZÛ (very light puzzles)
Well not exactly "walking" :-P And it's not FPP. (Also some other games you suggested are not, like The Path).

Leroux: Conarium (I think)
Yes! I even recently played this and compared it to a walking sim myself. It has a few (easy) puzzles, and one "escape the monsters" scene (which auto-resolves if you fail three times like incompetent me).

I can really recommend this, cool story, great visual design.
Californium comes to mind as well as TRI: Of Friendship and Madness. I am not sure whether you would also count in Magrunner: Dark Pulse but at least it doesn't hurt to suggest it. :-)

Oh, yeah, that's true, I didn't think of that. Most WS are FPP. But I also don't consider it that much of a defining criterion. YMMV. Maybe these are "Walking-Simulator-likes" or something then. XD

Californium seems to fit, but TRI and Magrunner are clearly First Person Puzzler / Puzzle Platformers to me. They do have a similar way of story-telling, but you have to seriously wrack your brain and jump a lot if you want to advance the story. ;)

clarry: I'd like to browse walking sims but GOG's catalog is as useless as always.. the closest genre tag is "adventure", which brings up 19 pages of all sorts of games. Sigh.

Maybe we could make a gogmix... oh wait. Sigh.

Maybe I could check what was in that sale a week ago.. oh, you can't view the game list of past sales.

Someone happen to have a list handy?
as the graphics and games get better over time, one of the things that surprised me the most is just kind of taking my time and walking through them. It really adds to the immersion of the game and roleplaying element. I find third person open world games are great for this.

Some I remember really enjoying just kind of walking around in were:

Skyrim
GTA 4
GTA 5
Witcher 3
Metal Gear Solid V
Death Stranding
Zelda Breath of the Wild

all of those worlds were incredible to explore.

I enjoy walking around so much I made a youtube channel about it! Please feel free to come by and take a Virtual Tour with me @ www.youtube.com/VirtualTourOnTo

I know it took alot of flack for it but Deaath Stranding is kinda like a walking simulator
