I changed view options of C: and set it to show everything that was hidden.

I simply cannot find the save location for Kingdoms of amalur reckoning
Tried this?

%USERPROFILE%\Documents\My Games\Reckoning\

I found them there. Hex Edited the save after tutorial, changed inventory limit from default 70 to 500. in game it's still 70. Must be another location for saves.

The original, or re-reckoning?

The original puts saves in %USERPROFILE%\Documents\My Games\Reckoning\
The remaster puts saves in %USERPROFILE%\AppData\LocalLow\THQNOnline\Kingdoms of Amalur Re-Reckoning\autocloud\save\

Locations courtesy of PC Gaming Wiki.

If you are running the game through Galaxy, your save might be getting replaced with the cloud save as well.
Keith, you always remind me of Keith Apicary and his songs for some reason!

Pretty much this.
Cloud saves have a mind of their own. I don't recommend to use them, unless for case when one absolutely has to. Had a couple of times a corrupted save during an upload, followed by overwriting my good save on the drive during next launch. "Fun times" having to start all over, esp. in RPGs.

How can I use regular saving.instead of cloud? I had to redo W10 pro and it stuck me with cloud!

If you open Galaxy and select Kingdoms of Amalur in your library, to the right of the "Play" button there will be a menu with an option to "Manage installation > Configure". In the new window, choose "Features" and remove the check mark from the cloud saves box. Then click OK to save the changes.

If you want to disable cloud saving all together for every game, you can open Galaxy, click the gear icon in the top-left corner, navigate to "Game Features", and remove the check mark from the cloud saves box.

My setup is a bit different and I can't do what the smallest paragraph says.

There was an antivirus program installed, RAV, that was saying all my game trainers was a virus and disabled them. I solved that by uninstalling RAV. I already have a top notch anti virus program in addition to Windows defender!!!

One more thing, I uninstalled "One Drive. Huge improvement.

Yeah OneDrive is garbage. I hate that service. using it is never a good idea.
I've searched everywhere and simply cannot find the KOARR save files. I'm pretty sure that I still have view all files going. maybe in Re-Reckoning the saves are embedded in the game?
Luckily not. Putting savegame files into the game directory is a big nono these days, since installation directories tend to require admin access. Savegame files are user data and belong into the user directory.

I just checked, the information above is still true. The savegames are in

%appdata%\..\LocalLow\THQNOnline\Kingdoms of Amalur Re-Reckoning\autocloud\save
or
%userprofile%\AppData\LocalLow\THQNOnline\Kingdoms of Amalur Re-Reckoning\autocloud\save

Make sure you look in the right appdata subdirectory, there are three of them, but only two of them ara available as environment variable (not the one you are looking for), that's why the path is more complex than usual.
I found those two save locations but only the saves in the Load screen have the current dates.
I did away with Cloud and uninstalled One Drive. Everything is now much faster.

Here is the true location for me since I'm logged in as Administrator.

C:\Users\Administrator\AppData\LocalLow\THQNOnline\Kingdoms of Amalur Re-Reckoning\autocloud\save
