HypersomniacLive: I envy the view many of you have. Mine is meh, at best.

cose_vecchie: mmm that doesn't look like the Vatican.
hes not really from vatican. there are very few apartments in there. (look at vatican plan.) and only for high ranked officials of catolic church.. very unlikely that there is one vatican resident in the gog ;-)

Moonbeam: Been waiting for yours, but what is around the corner?
More of the same, unfortunately. But here's a sample of the view I can get within 5' walking distance.

Where's yours?

That's because I have to leave the Vatican City to visit GOG.

Knew there was something nice nearby.
That is really lovely, thanks:)

You're welcome to visit, and enjoy it first hand, any time you like.

No digital camera? Not even on your cell phone?

HypersomniacLive:
Was there once, quite a long time ago, it's the most amazing place I have seen.
(and yes, I threw lots of coins in the fountain so maybe one day I will return)

Emob78: So you live on the Goon Docks. Good thing they never turned it into a golf course.

Say hi to Sloth for me.

tinyE: That's Lake Superior. :P
Lake Superior, eh? That term's a bit presumptuous, don't you think? BTW, my mailing address is 123 Handsome St., Awesome Town USA 90210 It's right down the road from where I fish on Lake MuchBiggerPenisThanYours.
The view out the office in the shop at the new property. 2256 is looking northwest toward the local lake and the village we used to live in. 2257 is north. 2258 is east, looking over the back yard; the house is out of the photo, just to the left.

Really looking forward to the same views once the snow falls.

It helps when you ARE the boss. Er, work for myself. I'm the boss AND the lackey - gotta crack the whip on myself sometimes.

For the photo size, I'm taking a 5MP shot at high compression on a Canon point-and-shoot, which creates photos of anywhere from 400kB up to about 1.2MB. For those too large for the file size limit, I simply resize in Windows Paint. The shots go from 2,816x1880 down to whatever size I end up with in order to squeeze under the limit. High compression is the key - the shots still come out decent without having an enormous file size.

The sunsets can be pretty spectacular, depending on what the weather is doing that evening.

Mmm, self-flagellation. Kinky!
Thanks everyone for sharing! I love this thread! I'll have to get a pic some time. I just got a new used camera! Yay! My children can have their lives documented again!

no some time. dont hesitate Tallima, share and keep the thread running ;-)
My laptop generally suits on a desk in our living room. There are two windows. The one straight ahead just looks out into the deck. It's the window to the left where the view is:
