Elisebathe: I am using Yahoo mail and like I have said I had the POP settings on and read in description that my emails are sent to an Outlook or Thunderbird client and I don't know what is the trouble because on my old mail had the same settings but I was reaching my mail, now not so much.
How do you check your mail? Do you log in through their webpage, or use a program?
POP3 allows you to check your mail using a program like MS Outlook or Mozilla Thunderbird. Depending on your settings, it is possible that after downloading the emails, Outlook/Thunderbird would delete those email from server. In this case, the emails are still saved on the hard disc of whatever computer that had Outlook/Thunderbird installed which you used to open the emails. There might be methods of getting them back on server, but it depends on what program you used.
Turn off POP3. It's outdated. If you want to use an external program like Outlook, switch to IMAP instead.
EDIT:
Since it appears from your first post that you don't use MS Outlook, is it possible that someone (or you) logged to your email using Outlook on a different machine using POP3, and forgot to turn on the "leave messages on server" setting?
In this case, you will most probably need access to that machine if you want to recover your emails.
