Regarding the graphics improvemnt: For Day of Tentacles it wasn't really worth it. My impression was that slightly more polished graphcis is not very important for the entertainment value.

The price is definitely too much for the improvement. For a fiver it might be okay.

If you find one of those old LucasArts collection CD-ROMs for a nice price then yes, it's worth buying.
Buying the remake for full price feels a bit like Half Throttle to me. You pay more, but get less.

Then again, since I already own two copies of the original game, I probably can't see the value for someone who has never played it before.

I think if you like adventure games and $12 (if you preorder) isn't a lot of money to you, it's probably worth it.

I think it's a good game at a decent price- even better having a re-master version.

I don't really remember if there was any difference between those two, probably nothing major anyway.

Your sentence can be understood both ways:

1. This game was worth 40 squids when it was new, it still is good invested money, because the game's still great.
2. This game was worth 40 squids when it was new, but this was 22 years ago. They charge way to much for that, considering what is available now, gaming-wise for an equal or even lower price.

To add something to the topic:
The real question is: Does the remake turn out good and are you okay with paying 3€ less for a bunch of preorder exclusive wallpapers and the promise of said game. If you are not sure, why not wait to see what you're getting into?

Thanks for the reply. I was only curious, if there are hidden features only known to certified insiders that would be important for someone trying to get into the game nowadays. Turns out , there are not.*phew*

That's because it includes Indiana Jones and the last Crusade.
Regional locked on Steam, accessable for everybody on GOG ;-)

Works for me, but that's something called LucasArts Adventures Pack, and includes both Indys, The Dig, and Loom.

LucasArts Entertainment Pack, however, is a collection of CD-ROMs that are Full Throttle, Sam&Max, Grim Fandango, and the only same title, The Dig.

If you're happy to wait a year it'll be bundled for less than that (steam keys). It's a really good adventure though if you don't want to wait.
